“If anyone can do it, I know it will be you,” Levi says as he’s putting all the food on the bed.
“What’s in the box?” I ask, eyeing it up.
“That’s for after we eat. It’s a surprise,” Maverick says with a grin.
“I have to wait that long?” I ask with a sigh.
“You don’t want your tacos to get cold,” Levi says with a chuckle.
“You know me so well,” I say excitedly.
I’m honestly glad tacos haven’t made me sick during my pregnancy. I’m pretty sure that would be the worst thing ever.
“It’s always amazing to me that you guys seem to get a bunch of everything that’s my favourite. There is probably food from seven different restaurants here,” I tell them as I start eating.
“We know you don’t get to do much. You’re pretty much stuck watching TV, eating, reading, or scrolling social media. This is what we can do for date nights until the babies are born,” Levi says.
“Plus, you always get this smile when we do this for you. It’s my favourite part. The look in your eyes,” Maverick says.
“Of course, I am looking at you like that. You are holding tacos,” I tease.
“Trust me, I know that too,” Maverick says with a laugh.
“I don’t know how one woman can eat so many tacos for so many days in a row and not get sick of them,” Levi says with a shake of his head.
“Because they are the best thing ever and always will be,” I say.
They both sit on the bed and let me grab what I want first before they make their plates.
We sit and talk until everything is done before Levi goes to put the leftover food away. I look at the box again when Levi is walking back into the room.
“Can I see what’s inside now?” I ask impatiently.
Maverick gets up and grabs the box as Levi sits back down beside me with Maverick sitting on the other side.
He puts it in my lap, and I open it before he can say anything else.
There is an Old Lady cut in the box that reads, “Property of Viking and Ice”
“I love it,” I say as tears well in my eyes.
“We want you to officially be our Old Lady. This way, everyone can know you belong to the both of us,” Maverick says.
“That sounds amazing,” I say with the biggest smile on my face.
I go to move the box, but it feels like there is more in there. “What else is in here?” I ask.
“It’s our new patches that say ‘Property of Viking,’ and ‘Property of Ice’,” Maverick says.
“Okay, but it wouldn’t make that this heavy still,” I say suspiciously.
“We got onesies for the babies,” Levi says while grabbing them out.
“Plus this,” Maverick says, grabbing out a box that looks suspiciously like a ring box.
“What?” I say with a gasp.
“Button, I love you. I’m sorry I was a dick and didn’t express how much I loved you when we were going through a hard time. You mean the world to me, and I almost lost you because I was a coward. I can’t promise I won’t fuck up in the future because we all know it will happen eventually, but I can promise to talk to you about anything that may put a distance between us. I don’t want any more secrets from you,” Maverick says opening a box with a gorgeous ring inside.
