“Shh, it doesn’t matter. You’re fucking perfect.”

When our lips connected, sparks flew down my spine, through my limbs, and my hands gripped her waist, afraid she might go somewhere when I needed her right here. In my arms.

Earlier, after cutting out of work early, I took a long nap before showering and heading out to the grocery store. I planned on a dinner of ribeye, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and fresh rolls.

While there, I ran into my buddy Joel.

“Bro, why are you smiling like that? You look like you got hit with a fairy dust or some girlie shit. Wait—you got laid. Finally. Please, tell me you got laid.”

I laughed. “My sex life isn’t up for discussion. But I do have a date.”

“You met someone?”

“Yep. Seems that dating website finally came in handy.”

“Yeah, man. Get it. Keep me updated. And don’t forget- my house Friday night for beers and cards.”

“Wouldn’t miss it.” I replied before getting back to my shopping.

But now here she finally was, in my arms, my lips on hers, a literal dream come true.

My imagination couldn’t do her justice, her beauty rare and unique. And I wanted her. All of her.

She was mine.

Without breaking our kiss, I pulled her inside, desperate and needy. But Ember resisted, her lips leaving mine, as she giggled like a schoolgirl. “Khai, wait.” She turned and waved towards the driveway. I looked above her head and spotted a second car in the driveway, near the end.

I was so fixated on Ember I hadn’t noticed. “Who is that?”

“My best friend, Dottie. We had to make sure you weren’t a weirdo or something.” Ember said with a grin, one so adorable she made my damn knees weaken.

“Good job being safe. But trust me, the only thing I want to do is feed you, feast on your delectable curves, and send you home sated and happy. Or maybe asleep in my arms. I haven’tdecided yet.” I waved towards her friend too, which caused her to giggle more.

Inside, I closed the door behind us and pressed her back against it, my body resting against hers. I caged her in with my hands on both sides and brought my lips down to hers. “I should be wining and dining you, but I can’t resist these juicy lips.”

Ember’s breath caught in her throat and she gasped. Her tongue darted out and licked those gorgeous lips of hers and that was all it took.

My hands slid down the sides of her body and gripped onto her waist tight, kissing her so hard and deep we both lost our breath.

We kissed and kissed, my tongue tangling with hers as I committed her taste to memory.

Beep! Beep!

“Shit!” I muttered as I reluctantly broke our kiss. “That’s dinner.” I took her by the hand and led her into the kitchen.

I waved towards the kitchen island, bar stools set up for seating, with our places already set and a bottle of champagne on ice. “Have a seat, gorgeous.”

Ember beamed like the queen she was and my heart soared. I loved making her smile.

I snuck a quick look at her body again, taking in all of her endless delicious curves, but turning back to the stove. I pulled the veggies out of the oven, gave the mashed potatoes a stir, and began slicing the steak after letting it sit. I grabbed the rolls from the toaster oven where they stayed warm and dished out our food.

“Bon appetite. I hope you like everything.” I popped open the champagne and poured us each a glass.

“Steak and mashed potatoes, hmm? You listened last night.” Ember smiled, her cheeks rosy.

“I sure did, baby girl. I needed to impress my queen.”

“Your queen? I like the sound of that.”
