He could never step foot on stage like this. She’d have to fight off so many fans!
“Do you hate it?” He asked, placing his hands on her hips.
She pouted slightly. “No. But now I’ll never get the chance to braid your hair.” She twirled her fingers into the back of his hair and turned to the others. “Why did you all decide to have a makeover?”
“It was Kai’s idea,” Jude said, his typical fluffy layered wolf cut covered in product. “I’m doing pastel blue,” he said proudly.
Sonnet raised an eyebrow. “I’m sorry, I’m confused. It was Kai’s idea for you all to dye your hair? Why?”
Kai hid semi behind Jude, looking at all the boys before meeting her gaze. “Loyalty.”
“Huh?”
“Loyalty,” he said louder this time. “We’re your solidarity sisters, too, or whatever.”
“Solidarity sisters? I—” Sonnet closed her mouth before erupting into a fit of giggles. “I’m going to start crying again.”
Felix frowned.“Again?”
She blushed. She didn’t feel like revealing her moment with her omega, because that was a whole other can of worms.
No offense.
None taken. Look at them. Look at how cute they are!
“You make it too easy for me to fall for you all,” she admitted. She felt slightly embarrassed by her confession, and all the boys looked stunned, but they deserved to know how much they were all starting to mean to her. “What color is your hair going to be?” She asked Kai.
“Purple,” he sighed, looking at Jude. “He picked out the colors.”
“I’m telling you, purple is your color! You’re purple, Zayden’s midnight blue, I’m baby blue, and Felix is definitely a turquoise like his eyes."
“Wait, when did you decide this?” Sonnet asked. “We all fell asleep together right after the restaurant.”
“We fell asleep together, but we didn’t stay asleep. Kai woke us up,” Felix said, a hint of annoyance in his tone. “Zayden stayed with you, but Kai made Jude and I drive all the way out to the nearest Walmart to grab everything, and then when you got up, we woke back up again to get it done.” Felix smiled softly, his dirty blonde hair down highlighted with product. “We all wanted to show you that we’re here for you.”
Sonnet couldn’t hold them back anymore. She smiled and cried simultaneously. “Can I help you?”
They agreed, and breakfast was forgotten about. They spent the entire morning cramming into the small space, Goose hyped up from all the laughter.
I wish Mother could see how happy I am.
Chapter 37
She says she’s falling for us! Just hearing her say that tells me I KNOW we’re headed in the right direction. I’m so ready for group therapy again. We’ve got this in the bag!!!
Jude was getting used to this whole therapy thing, and if it were a college class, he felt confident he’d get an A+. After their last group therapy, he became even more hopeful and honest. He hadn’t realized how much he was bottling up until everything started coming out, first with Kai at the beach, then Zayden, and then at group therapy. He also didn’t realize how much better he felt, letting it all out.
They all should have listened to Maddox the first time their manager suggested group therapy.
“Hey!” Kai burst into the bathroom, Goose in his arms.Typical.“What’s taking you so long?”
“I just wanted to fix my hair.”
Kai rolled his eyes. “More like checking yourself out. If I knew dying the ends of your hair blue would give you a narcissistic complex, I’d never have suggested it.”
“What did you say?” Jude joked as he brushed his fingers through his hair until he liked its position.
“Just hurry up, or I’m going to send Sonnet in here.”
