“And why’s that?”

“Because this is my city, sweetheart, and I’ve told them not to talk to you.”

“Well, sweetheart, you best get ready for disappointment, because I don’t lose. Ever,” she says to me with her back straight and her head held high. Much like it was last night…when she was naked in front of me.

I smirk. “Haven’t you heard?”

“Heard what?”

“This city was built on losers. The only winner in Vegas is the house. I’m the one currently sitting on the throne of this kingdom. There’s not a chance in hell that you can take it.”

“Hold on to that throne as tight as you can, big boy, because I’m coming to claim it.” Molly taps her flattened palm over my chest and smiles up at me. “Have a nice day, Mr. Giuliani.”

With that, I watch her walk away, her assistant following right alongside her.

“Who is she?” Elias asks, stepping up next to me.

“She is none of your fucking business.” I glare at him.

“Okay, let me rephrase the question:What exactly are you doing with Molly Olive?” he says with a smirk on his face. One I want to knock right off.

“I’m making sure she doesn’t come into this town and spread her brand of poison.”

“That all?” He raises a brow at me.

“What’s with the third degree, Elias?”

“Just want to make sure you’re not losing your touch, cousin.” He clasps a hand on my shoulder.

“Wait a minute… Why are you here?” Last I heard, he was back in Mexico with his family and my sister, who went and married his little brother. We might be cousins, but we’re not blood related. Our parents are just close friends.

“I missed your ass,” he says. “And Papa sent me to make sure that woman doesn’t get what she wants here.”

Molly is on my uncle’s radar. That’s not a good fucking thing. “Elias, let me be very clear. Molly Olive is off fucking limits toyou and your family,” I growl and walk out of the casino. I need to go home.

The valet pulls up with my car, and I jump in and head for my house. I bought the place a few years ago after I got sick of living at the casino. I like the quiet of having my own estate.

Pressing the button on my car, I yell out, “Call Tío E,” and my speaker rings through the car.

I want to know why my uncle has sent Elias here to handle Molly and how exactly he’s planning on doing it. My Tío E is the current leader of a Mexican cartel. How he handles shit isn’t always clean.

“Alfie, what can I do for you?” My uncle’s voice comes over the line.

“What do you want with Molly Olive?”

“I want her and her business to stay out of Las Vegas. The same thing you want. Why do you ask?”

“What’d you send Elias here to do to her, exactly?”

“Whatever is necessary.”

“Call him off. I’ve got this handled.”

“You’ve got this handled? How so? Because I heard she’s your date to your mother’s gala on Saturday night.”

“Keep your enemies close, Tío E.”

“Your enemies are better dead, Alfie. That way, they can’t come up and bite you in the ass,” my uncle says.
