I made a quick trip to the bathroom, grabbing towels, condom and lube. Mason was still waiting for me when I returned.
I broke the condom foil, put it on, then lubed him up for my access. Mason groaned as I pumped two fingers inside him.
Deeming him ready, I replaced my digits with my member. I pushed in, slow and steady, careful not to hurt him.
Mason, needing something to hold onto, grabbed the sheets in front of him. Finally, I was buried balls deep in him.
Mason felt amazing around me, tight and perfect.
“You okay?” I had to ask, a little breathless.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “Just move. Please.”
I complied, starting on a steady rhythm which suited us both. Soon enough, I reduced us both to sweaty, panting messes. I rode him faster, deeper.
Mason gasped and arched his back when I switched the angle of my thrusts. I knew I found his sweet spot.
Each time our bodies joined, it felt like a piece of my soul drifted out to touch his. I never felt this way with anyone before. Then again, none of the men I had been with was Mason.
I aimed for Mason’s prostate over and over, loving the sound of his moans.
My balls tightened against my body. The pressure building inside me threatened to burst. At my next thrust, Mason cried out, climaxing and screaming my name.
Several pushes later, I followed. Finally, I pulled out. I disposed of the condom, then cleaned us both up with towels.
Eventually we settled beneath the blankets, the room dim except for the soft glow from the lamp in the living room.
Mason curled naturally against my side like he’d always belonged there. My arm wrapped around him without thinking.
For a while we just lay there, breathing in the same slow rhythm. Contentment settled deep in my bones. I brushed my thumb lightly over Mason’s arm.
“So,” I said quietly.
“Hmm?”
“What are you going to do when this is over?” I had dared to ask.
He shifted slightly to look up at me.
“When the missing shifters are found,” I clarified. “When things settle down.”
The hesitation came almost immediately.
“I don’t know.” His voice held uncertainty. “I can’t really look that far ahead right now.”
That made sense. Still, the thought of him leaving twisted something inside me. My wolf stirred again, restless. I hesitated, then decided to be bold.
“Do you think,” I said slowly, “there’s a future…”
Mason’s brow furrowed slightly.
“With the pack?” Mason asked.
“With me.” The words felt bigger once they were out in the open.
Mason studied my face for a long moment. Then that small smile returned.
“Maybe,” he said.
