TWENTY-THREE

I watch Sabs giving her friends long hugs.
After the masseuses also cancelled due to the traffic, we ended up hanging out with the girls for the rest of the night, and surprisingly, I had a great time.
Nail painting and Kady’s questioning aside, I just loved being around Sabs. Her infectious energy lights up the room, so you can’t help but want to be around her. Her remarks about Delilah’s cooking class had Faye crying from laughing so hard, and I loved seeing her fiercely protective side come out when Delilah mentioned how difficult she’s been finding the extra attention on campus since her bonding news went public.
Delilah waves us goodbye. “See you soon.”
“Thanks for all the food.” Faye beams at me. We sent her away with plenty of chocolate. “I had a great time.”
“Take good care of Sabs, okay?” Kady’s eyes narrow, then her expression softens. “And good luck, guys.”
“Good luck?” Sabs pops a hand on her hip. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“We all know you’re a handful.” Kady laughs. She’s not wrong about that, but I fucking love how our omega always keeps us guessing. “Speak soon.”
“This way.” Drax ushers them down the driveway to his car. He insisted on driving everyone home.
“Your friends are great,” I tell her, meaning it.
“They are,” Sabs agrees proudly, madly waving as they climb into the backseat.
Luca admires his nails fondly. “My nails have never looked better.”
“Speak for yourself.” I grimace, gazing at mine. “I look like I’ve been scarfing down Cheetos.”
“Team colors, right?” Sabs nudges me in the ribs, staying on the doorstep until the gates open and the headlights of Drax’s car disappear.
I steer her back into the warmth. “So they seemed to like us…?”
I’ve never sought anyone’s approval before, but after seeing how much Sabs cares about the Stellas made me realize how much I desperately crave it from them.
“What’s wrong, Ace?” Sabs pinches my cheek, her tone playful. “You worried that noteveryoneloves you?”
“Just wanting to know if I need to make any extra fan club tees,” I joke.
“With the size of your head, I’m surprised you can fit through the doorway.” Luca rolls his eyes. “I’ll start cleaning up.”
“But seriously…” I grab Sabs’s wrist, tugging her toward me, craving her closeness as Luca heads into the kitchen. “Do you think we got the Stella seal of approval?”
Her long eyelashes catch the light as she looks up, her sweet cherry scent making my jeans suddenly feel too tight. “Yeah, I think you did.”
My heart soars as she inches onto her tiptoes, brushing her lips against mine. Her breath tastes like raspberry Sour Patch Kids, the slide of her tongue against mine feeling too fuckinggood. I’ve missed this. Missed every second there has been a gap between our bodies.
Our kissing grows urgent, my cock begging to be freed as she presses against me, her arousal intoxicatingly thick in the air. A tiny purr escapes her. The same purr I heard on our first night together, tapping directly into my alpha instincts.
Against all my better judgment, I force myself to pull away, panting. “I thought you wanted to wait…?”
She fists my shirt and violently tugs me in again. Her gaze full of longing and want, with zero hesitation. “I’m done waiting.”
That’s all the encouragement I need. My mouth is back on hers again as I hoist her up, cupping her ass as her legs wrap around me, squeezing my torso with impressive force. I push her back against the wall, her sexy moans echoing around the vast space. I kiss down her neck, flicking the tip of my tongue across her bond mark that’s started to heal, finding a home among her freckles.
A pulse of sheer, desperate need dashes through our shared connection in response. “You like that, huh?”
She digs her nails into my shoulders. “Do it again.”
