“Still deciding.”

“That lady seemed nice. The one I talked to outside. Nora.”

“Yeah, I’m sureyouthought that,” I mutter, typing harder, hoping that for the first time ever, he’ll recognize that I’m busy and he should go away.

He finally stops that damn tapping, crossing his arms, resting them against the desk to peer over the computer. “What’s got your panties in a twist?”

I grit my teeth. “Nothing is wrong. Don’t you have something better to do than bother me?”

“Not really,” he says with a shrug. And I can feel him looking at me, but I refuse to look back. “Dude, are you jealous?”

“No.”

“You totally are,” he counters with a laugh that sets me on edge even more than I already was. “What, were you creeping on me when I was talking to Nora outside? Is that what all this is about?”

Her name said so casually in his mouth makes my blood boil. “I wasn’t ‘creeping’ on you. I happened to look outside—”

He snorts, cutting me off. “Sure you did.”

I sigh with my full body, giving up my attempt at ignoring him, looking up to meet his eyes. “You know how I feel about you,” I say, exhaustion creeping in from the long day and Will’s incessant need to mock me. “I obviously don’t want to see you flirting with other people, but I know you don’t want me and it’s your life—”

While I was speaking, Will walked behind the desk, stopping behind my chair.

“Turn around.”

I look back at my chart, shaking my head. “I have to finish—”

“Nolan.” His hands land on the top of my chair, and his voice sends a shiver up my spine. “Turn around.”

I roll my chair around, and he’s right there, closer than I realized, standing over me. And before I can say anything, his hand slides into my hair, threading through my curls.

I go still at the gesture.

It feels more intimate than anything we’ve done, and he jerked me off.

“You’re an asshole when you’re jealous,” he says, looking down at me with that smirk. “Giving me one-word answers, acting all pissy with me.”

“I wasn’t—”

“You were.” His fingers tighten, and it almost hurts, but it almost feelsgood. “Acting like I did something wrong when I was just being polite.”

“You were flirting with her.”

“Oh, was I?”

“You were doing the—” I gesture at his body. “The thing you do. You know what I’m talking about.”

“Right. The thing I do.” He does know. How could you not know when you’re standing there, looking hot, smiling that way he does—

“Now, why would I flirt with her?” he says slowly, a darkness in his voice that has my cock stirring in my pants. “When I’ve got you right here, all ready and willing.”

His eyes drop to my mouth that has gone completely dry, and I’m already hard from his hand in my hair and his words. I try to look down at my crotch to see how obvious it is, but his fingers curl tighter, pulling my head back until I’m looking up at him.

I let out what I could only call a squeak.

“There he is,” Will says with a chuckle, looking down at me with an expression I feel in my bones. “You still wanna be all grumpy over nothing? Or you wanna suck my dick?”

There’s only one answer to that question, because whatever I was annoyed about has left my brain completely, replaced by the want that takes over every time he gets this close.
