“Hold on,” he murmured.

“Huh?” Bryce said.

Jesse ran his gaze over Bryce. Other than his hair, every bit of Bryce was perfect. Not a hint of stubble. Shirt pressed, lines of his dress slacks perfect. Not a stray piece of lint. Even his shoes were perfect. But besides the outline of his hardening dick and a gleam in his brown eyes, there wasn’t a hint of desire in him.

What was causing the dissonance? The not-fun stiffness? A multitude of possibilities flickered through his mind, but Jesse quickly settled on one theory. “You’re a control freak.”

“I told you. I don’t have a problem with a messy apartment.”

“I mean, about you.”

Confusion clouded Bryce’s expression. “What?”

Jesse slid his hand up Bryce’s neck and put his thumb on his lips. “Shh. I’m thinking.”

Bryce pursed his lips.

Yeah, Bryce wastense. The pressure of it had to be killer on his nerves. But it presented Jesse with a puzzle. Hopefully there was some way to unlock the fortress Bryce hid inside, or this was going nowhere fast.

Jesse stepped close and nuzzled Bryce before kissing him gently. A firm touch of their lips turned into a second kiss. When Bryce gripped Jesse’s shoulders in an iron lock, an idea finally struck. He knew what Bryce was doing, and he knew how to fix him.

Slithering out of Bryce’s hold, Jesse took out his keys and unlocked his apartment. “Come on in and watch the boxes.”
