“So you saying he don’t owe you shit?” Forrest asked, brows dipping just above his slanted eyes.
“I’m saying, I don’t like turning on the people that have helped me,” Nadia argued, taking her eyes away from him.
He rose abruptly and sneered down at her. She still wanted Rose. That was what the shit was and always would be. Fed up, nostrils flaring, Forrest veered his attention to the side, gathering what he wanted to say to her.
“So you being his little peon is respectable to you?” Forrest said, mutinous.
Nadia’s face wrinkled in contempt before she brought her eyes to his like two knives. Forrest saw the flicker of rage there as well, and took a step back.
“Why don’t you keep that same energy toward Rose, instead of turning that shit on me like I’m your fucking enemy?” He aimed a finger at himself. “This nigga gets to come and go from your life as he pleases. Fucking you when he wants, and you taking care of his shit while he’s out catering to a bitch he claims is just a friend. So tell me what the fuck that is, Nadia, hmm?”
The truth hurt, and the large reflection that Forrest held up to her paralyzed her. Everything that he said was the truth. She should actually be more upset with Rose, but she didn’t want to risk him completely cutting her off. He held all the power, and she needed to find a way around that. Forrest was right about one thing: she didn’t want to keep being his little go-to girl. Since he wanted to be so dedicated to a bitch he was only emotionally fucking, why the fuck did she have to remain loyal to him?
Gannon arrivedoutside the club and saw that there were still a few cars lined up in the lot. Since they were closed for business he assumed it was Eirian and company. When Gannon stepped inside, the place looked completely different. The lights weren’t flashing, but the music was still coming through the walls. Listening to laughter in the distance, he spotted Cretia a he counter looking over something. Gannon approached her first, but she quickly appeared annoyed by the sight of him.
“And where the hell have you been?” she muttered, looking him up and down.
“I was taking care of something,” he answered, sliding behind the bar so that he could get a drink.
Cretia studied his taut posture and figured he must be in a mood about something or another. With an eyeball, she shook her head. She didn’t know why she bothered with him sometimes. Then again, taking in how fine he was standing in front of her reminded her of that.
“Let me guess, Minx.” Cretia cut her eyes toward him and rested an elbow on the counter.
Gannon poured himself a glass of Hennessy and took a large swig. Keeping his back to her his thoughts of Minx’s wordsplayed over in a loop. She was disregarding him like he wasn’t the nigga he was, and he didn’t like that shit. He put in a lot of time and effort with that girl. Now she was acting like any of the good times they shared never happened. Cretia took a few steps closer. Skimming him from head to toe, she brought her hands to his shoulders. She massaged them gently, and his head dropped back. Appreciating her touch, he closed his eyes. Cretia’s hands wandered further down his upper torso until they slid into his pants, rubbing his extending manhood. Groaning from the pleasure of her stroking him, Gannon sucked in a deep breath.
“Seems like someone needs a release,” Cretia whispered, nibbling on the lobe of his ear.
His dick bucked against her palm, and she grinned. “Mmm.”
“And what the fuck is this right here!” Sekani Lynch’s loud voice pulled them from one another.
Gannon spun so fast, only to find her walking up on them. Cretia reared her head back. There was something about the way she came at them that gave her pause. She didn’t know the girl. She just knew she came in with Eirian and the rest of his crew.
“Kani—”
“So not only are you fucking with this little bitch, Minx, but you dealing with this hoe right here on the side?” Eirian’s sister nodded to the Barbie doll in front of her.
She hated bitches like Cretia. She was selfish and prissy. Her father was a mogul, so she’d been spoiled all her life. She got everything she wanted and thought throwing money at everything solved problems. She didn’t even want to be a club owner. She just knew that Gannon was fine as hell, and she wanted a piece of him. Always the type to want what she couldn’t have. The fact that he already had a girlfriend was icing on the cake for someone like her.
“Kani, listen, don’t come in here with this shit. It’s been years?—”
“Gannon, you already know how I am. Don’t play with me in front of this replica of a fucking plastic doll.” Sekani cut her eyes at him and leaned on the counter.
“Who is this… ratchet ass bitch, Gannon?” Cretia tucked her arms over her large breasts and cocked a brow.
Sekani laughed crazily, and Gannon’s chin dropped to his chest. This girl stayed with the bullshit. He and Sekani went back to middle school days. The two lost their virginity to one another. Ever since, no matter who they were with or what they were doing, they always found themselves tangled up in the sheets together. Neither of them ever felt guilty about it either. Now he was standing in front of her, telling her that she didn’t have the same kind of access, and that was enough to make her snap.
“I’m the bitch that’s going to wipe you across this fucking floor if you don’t show some damn respect.” Sekani went behind her back, retrieving her pistol and placing it on the counter while staring back at her with malice in her eyes.
Cretia’s slanted irises stretched when she peeped the seriousness in Sekani’s face. She was dead ass with her long finger curled around the trigger of her weapon. Gannon knew better than to test her. Sekani was with the shit day or night, and he wasn’t interested in her latest outburst.
“Kani, chill, shorty,” Gannon advised.
“Nah, check this bitch right here before she loses her fucking life.” Sekani sneered.
“Yo, you buggin’,” Gannon sighed, shaking his head.
“I’m going up to the office. I’ll talk to you later.” Cretia flipped her hair over her shoulder and gathered her paperwork from the counter.
