“You won’t hurt me anymore, Wyatt.” She kisses my throat. “That’s all in the past. You’re mine and I’m yours. That’s all that matters now.”

I lift her from the sink and she clings to me. With my cock still buried deep inside her, I walk with her into my bedroom and close the door behind us. “Tell me you’re mine, trouble.”

I lay her on the bed and follow her down, still hard inside her.

“I’m yours, sir,” she whispers, threading her fingers into my hair. Her pale green eyes are nearly black with desire. I don’t know how I ever fought against this attraction.

“Keep saying it, Sara. Keep saying it until it’s all I know.” I slowly thrust inside her, dropping my hand to her clit and rubbing it in slow circles while I hold myself up with my other arm. All while staring into those loving eyes that look up at me like I’m her hero, and I’ll do anything to prove her right.

“I’m yours, Wyatt.” Her lips part on a gasp. “I’m yours.”

We’re sitting at a dining room table that wasn’t here earlier today. Drew looked smug as Sara commented on how much she liked it and that it’s exactly what she would have picked out. She gives Drew a kiss as Tom comes in.

He clears his throat. Drew chuckles and lifts his head from Sara but doesn’t release her, holding her close. Drew has a shadow of a bruise forming on his jaw.

“Get used to it, Morris. We’re not going anywhere.” Drew kisses Sara’s forehead and cups her ass to guide her to her chair. He gives Tom a look like, What’re you going to do about it?

Sara glances toward Tom and gasps. “What the hell?”

Tom’s got more bruises than the rest of us. A small cut is butterflied closed above his eye.

Sara looks at all of us. We’ve all got bruises. Yes, Tom got the brunt of it, but we all took hits today. “Aren’t you guys too old for this? Is this really the way to settle things?”

“I feel better.” Tom shrugs and lifts a briefcase, setting it on the surface of the table and opening it. “Besides the digital files, this is all I have. There’s got to be something in here.”

I nod and take the chair next to Tom. “We’ve got a lot of work. You good, trouble?”

Sara presses her lips into a firm line. She points to our faces. “This isn’t going to be a weekly thing, right? You guys aren’t going to continuously beat up my brother.” She turns to Tom with her hands on her hips. “And you’re not going to beat up my guys.”

He shakes his head. “They were my friends first.”

“And now we belong to her.” I release a breath. We need to focus and get on task. “We need to work on these files and find something that will give Alexander power in case Peter ever gets out and tries to reclaim his throne. Or worse, decides Alexander isn’t running his empire properly and wants to give it to someone else.”

Natasha walks in and sets a few flash drives on the table. Her hand rests on Tom’s shoulder. “This is all I have left. We gave the rest to the Feds. I’m pretty sure my dad had a second set of books. All these files are encrypted and I couldn’t be sure they wouldn’t get Dad sent somewhere worse than a cushy, white-collar prison.”

“I’ll call Theo to come and work on the encrypted files.” Dante stands, grabbing his phone before heading into the other room.

Tom puts his hand over Natasha’s, and the way he looks at her, I know he feels what I feel for Sara. It doesn’t make what he did easier to take. But unlike Finn and Dante, I’m not mad at Tom for what he held over me for years.

Maybe I should be, but the only person whose opinion matters on it is Sara’s. I meet her gaze over the table and she smiles when she catches me. My heart thumps hard. Loving her and not having her was torture. Knowing I can kiss her when I want to is liberating.

“This is how we’re spending our Saturday night?” Drew shakes his head. “You guys have a strange definition of fun.”

I smile, knowing he’s just trying to lighten the mood.

“You can stay if you want, Tasha.” Tom looks at her like she’ll be his ally in all this.

“I need a nap.” Her hand cradles her abdomen.

Tom’s smile softens and he puts his hand over hers. “Get some rest.”

Finn starts dividing out the work and files. Even though Drew isn’t an accountant, he’s familiar enough with financial reports to at least look over things. Natasha leans down and kisses Tom on the cheek before turning and leaving.

That could be us with Sara someday. While I likely won’t be the one to marry her, I will be a father to all her children. I want to see that soft glint in Sara’s eyes as she carries our children. There’s this fierce need to possess her still, but when it comes down to it, I couldn’t be everything Sara needs.

Having Finn, Dante, and Drew in this will make everything easier when it comes to loving Sara. They balance out this crazy attraction between us. Once we’ve figured out how to control Alexander, we’ll need to figure out how this is going to work in the real world.

There’s no roadmap for this kind of relationship. While Sara’s friend has her own group of guys, Sara’s in a different position in society. She may not care about her reputation, but I do and I know the others do.
