He merely shakes his head and presses a finger to his lips, telling me to be quiet. Answering the call, he pinches the bridge of his nose and fakes enthusiasm. “Mr. T! Everything good? Do you need me to call one of the ranchers for a late night check again?”

I watch as his eyes snap wide open in surprise. Seconds pass, and when Collin’s shoulders sag, I know it’s nothing good.

“Yeah, yeah, no. It’s no problem. We can come get you.” More seconds pass, and I want nothing more than to hear the phone call now. Collin hangs his head muttering that we’ll be on the road in fifteen minutes and hangs up.

Kicking off the comforter, he stands and stretches. I have to stop myself from growling at the sight of his V-cut..

No, no, Kayla. Not the time. Not again.

“C’mon,” he says with a yawn. “We gotta go get the old man.”

I stare up at him with a pout. “Do I have to go?”

It’s only then that his eyes take on a devious gleam. “You don’t have to… but I think you’ll want to.”

I squint up at him. “Why?”

“Because he’s at Millie Rock’s Watering Hole.”

My eyes nearly bug out of my head. “What? From the kink forum board we were just reading about? The one with the glory hole?”

“Yup.”

“Are we even allowed to film content like that without consent?”

Collin smirks before leaning down to press a kiss to my lips. “No, baby girl. We can’t. But that doesn’t mean we can’t at least check it out for a future endeavor.”

I blink dreamily at him as he presses another kiss to my lips. Tiredness still claws at my insides, but I shrug the white bedsheets off me with a sigh. “Fine. Let me get ready. No fucking way I’m going to my first ever glory hole with matching pajamas and a bonnet.”

Collin laughs. “Why do you think I told him fifteen minutes? Hurry up, Mistress. Our boss awaits.”

“Woah.” The word comes out of Collin’s mouth breathily as we step inside the infamous bar and look around. “Talk about fucking huge.”

Millie Rock’s Watering Hole isn’t just a bar, it’s also a tattoo studio with an underground sex club, based on reviews from internet strangers.

I snort. “That’s what she said.”

He side-eyes me. “Are you twelve?”

I gasp. “Oh my god, you like twelve year olds? I’m reporti—”

His hand slamming down on my mouth cuts me off. “Not funny.”

When he releases me, I wink at him. “No. But you started it. Now, speaking of ages… where’s our favorite old man? You said he sounded drunk as a skunk. I don’t see him at the bar.”

Collin shrugs, making his Superman shoulders look even bigger. Why the fuck this man decided to go into accounting when he could be an MMA fighter is beyond me. Granted, he used to be much slimmer… but the difference in the last year is unbelievable.

I roll my eyes and trek over to the bar. The bartender—a young woman with bright pink-and-blue hair—smiles at me. “What can I get you, love? It was the last call twenty minutes ago, but I can make an exception.”

I blush under her gaze. The bi-panic rages, and my words come out in a stutter. “I-I, uh, no, I can’t. I’m actually looking for someone. Have you seen a man, say… a little over six-foot, fairly muscular, and like, stereotypical cowboy-esk?”

The woman smirks at me. “My love, we’re in Arizona surrounded by ranches in every direction. I’m gonna need you to be more specific. You have a name?”

I blink. Fucking duh. Credit cards.

“Oh, yes! Miles Thompson.”

Her mouth forms an “O” shape before she speaks. “Ooooh, the puppy-dog one. Yeah, we were close to cutting him off. I’m so sorry, but I don’t know where he wandered off to. This place has, uh… lots of hidden interests, if you know what I mean.”
