A moment later, she felt a pressure at her entrance and then the slide of his thick finger working its way into her. As he continued to suck and tease her clit, he pumped his hand in and out.

“Gods, you’re so tight,” he moaned. “Do you think you can handle more?”

“Yes,” she said, not even sure what he meant, but she did want more. More of anything he was giving her. Gods, she was so stupid for doing this, but this felt so good.

She felt him slide in a second finger, and she inhaled sharply at the intrusion, the way she felt so achingly full and stretched. He curled his fingers, and she clutched the stone, feeling like she was falling.

“That’s a good girl,” he whispered as he continued pumping in and out. “Fuck my fingers like they were made for you.”

Zarya’s eyes fluttered closed as she reveled in every sensation. Every twitch of her body and roll of pleasure that spiraled through her limbs.

“Open your eyes,” Rabin ordered. “Look at me when you come.”

She did as he asked, unable to resist that voice that commanded her to do his bidding like the helpless, silly butterfly she was. His tongue found her core again, and he continued sucking and biting gently as he watched her from under the fringe of his dark lashes.

Slowly, he dragged her closer to the edge as her toes pointed and the muscles in her arms and legs shook. But she held on, wanting to experience this moment for as long as she could. It was exquisite torture wrapped up in the release of a breath she’d been holding for far too long.

Another rough circle of his tongue had her head spinning, her vision sparking with points of light, and then she blew apart, her cry echoing against the trees and leaves and still night air as wave after wave of cresting warmth bloomed from her stomach.

Rabin moaned as he continued tasting her, his face buried between her thighs like he was a man starving for water. When she stopped shaking, he pulled away, and she watched as he licked his fingers clean, savoring the taste of her in his mouth like it was the sweetest wine.

“Do you forgive me yet?” he asked, and she pinned him with a glare.

“Never.”

He grinned and flashed his sharp teeth, running his tongue along them.

“Then it looks like we’re going to have to do that again.”

TWENTY-THREE

When morning arrived, Zarya’s eyes blinked open with a haze of exhaustion. She couldn’t have gotten more than a couple of hours of sleep. She wondered if her body rested while she was in the forest or if it had the same effect as being wide awake?

Because gods, she’d never been more awake in her life.

The last thing she could recall was Rabin’s smug expression after he’d made her come so hard she’d forgotten her own name for several seconds.

She slapped a hand over her face. Maybe she shouldn’t have let him do that. He’d probably be completely insufferable in an entirely different way now. But that had felt so good and so right at that moment. Like every second they’d shared over the past months had been leading up to this. She had wanted more then, and she still did, but she would be damned if she wasn’t going to at least try to make him work a little harder for it.

She had her dignity, after all.

Sort of.

After lugging herself out of bed, she dressed in the leather armor she’d purchased with Yasen and cantered down the stairs.

Aarav sat at the kitchen table eating breakfast. A large platter of spiced eggs and potatoes sat in the center, and he gestured towards a chair.

“Eat up,” he said. “You’ve got a long journey ahead of you today.”

Then, he peered behind her as if waiting for something.

“What are you looking for?”

He shrugged. “Just wondering if you had someone up there with you last night.”

Her face flushed with warmth.

“Why would you think that?” she asked.
