My head began shaking. No. I wasn’t leaving.

“Yes, April.” His voice was growing more and more impatient.

“But…”

“It was an absolute pleasure meeting you, April.” Zach brought my hand to his lips and placed a delicate kiss on my skin.

I gasped. I’d never, ever forget this moment.

He winked and stepped back. “You should really see Liam perform sometime.”

I nodded slowly as he said goodbye to everyone else and waved before closing the door.

Sophia pinched my side, stealing my attention.

“Ow.”

“I thought we lost you there for a minute.”

I looked back to the door and pointed. “He was…”

“Beautiful. Amazing. A gift from above? Yes, yes he was.” Sophia finished for me.

I nodded again, words simply wouldn’t come. She understood. “But there is another beautiful, talented gift of a man standing behind you seeming a little sad.”

I slowly turned to see Liam looking slightly dejected behind me. Oh yeah. I probably should have played it cool around Zach. If I could have only controlled myself.

I took a step toward him and grabbed his hand. “This was a magical night. Thank you so much.”

He mumbled something while avoiding my eyes, so I ducked down until he couldn’t help but look at me.

“I’m sorry I went all fangirl, but he’s the first actor I’ve ever met. I just…got a little overwhelmed.”

He smirked just a little. “I’m an actor.”

I laughed. “Yeah, but I haven’t seen you act. To me, you’re just Liam.”

His eyes narrowed as he wrapped his arms around my waist. “Just Liam?”

I grabbed a handful of the back of his shirt. “Sorry. You know what I mean. I know you. You’re not just someone I’ve seen on stage. You’re real.”

He made a scoffing sound and pulled me into a hug. “I was getting ready to punch him in his beautiful face if he didn’t get his hands off of you.”

I gasped. “Are you jealous of Dmitry?”

He twisted his lips. “Maybe I am jealous of a fictional character.”

“What did he mean saying I should see you perform?”

He laughed. “We’ve done a few shows together.”

“You have?” I nearly shrieked.

“Let’s just say, if Liam wasn’t in school right now and had auditioned for his part, Zach wouldn’t have a job,” Eli spoke up from behind us.

“Nah. Zach’s great.” Liam seemed almost bashful now.

I looked from him to Eli, who was smiling. Huh. There was definitely more I needed to find out.
