Yessi

Iawake the next morning tangled up in the sheets. I slept better than I have in years. Fully satisfied, happy, and, for once, hopeful for the future.

I close my eyes and remember all the sexy details of last night. I can’t believe I hooked up with Preston, though we haven’t had sex yet. And I have something to look forward to tonight. I can’t wait for him to fuck me hard. I want him to do me doggy style.

I have to stop thinking about his incredible cock. Yes, I’m sleeping with the enemy, but no matter how hot he is, or how amazing he is in bed, I shouldn’t be distracted from my mission.

I sneak out of bed, slip on Preston’s t-shirt and my panties, and open the door to the lānai. I’m grateful for the time change because I woke up naturally in time to catch the Honolulu sunrise.

And what a breathtaking view. The sun rises in the distance, perfectly positioned between two mountains and framed by palm trees. The rays of light from the sun combine with the hues in the ocean to create the most blissful backdrop. Nature’s glorious painting. I’m not religious, but if this sunrise isn’t proof of a higher power, then I’m not sure what is.

Never in my life have I ever seen anything so beautiful or been anywhere this exciting. Romantic getaways with a generous lover don’t happen for girls like me. Poor girls…girls who grew up without a home, girls who grew up without a family, girls who grew up without any love. For some women, a trip to Hawai’i is an annual occurrence or something to take for granted, but for me, witnessing a sunrise in Hawai’i is one of the best things that’s ever happened in my life.

After a few moments enjoying this bliss, I sense Preston’s presence. I turn and take in the other breathtaking view—him. He’s standing in front of me without a shirt on and is just wearing pajama bottoms slung low on his hips. My heart beats rapidly. He’s perfection. He sports a six-pack and a beautiful happy trail that leads down to his incredible cock. It takes every ounce of control I have to not drop to my knees and suck him off.

“Good morning, beautiful.” He gives me a kiss on the cheek. When I first met him, I was positive that his kindness was just an act, but now I’m not so sure. He might actually be a real gentleman. Crazy, right?

“Good morning. I was just appreciating the view.”

His hands pull my hips against his body. “So was I.”

We kiss for a few moments. He’s an amazing kisser. When he kisses me, the whole world melts away.

“When are we heading to the expo?”

The expo. You’re here for the expo.

I want to blow the whole thing off and blow Preston instead. Spending all day with Preston in bed would be a dream, but I refuse to let my clit rule my brain.

“In a few hours. We can go to breakfast, or we can order room service. The restaurant downstairs overlooks the ocean, but then again, so does this room.”

“We can go to dinner at a restaurant. I just want to eat out here if that’s okay with you. Where’s the menu?”

He goes inside and returns with the menu. I order island papaya and some li hing pineapple pancakes after I verify that they’re vegan.

I excuse myself to hop in the shower. As the hot water cascades over my body, I marvel at this day. I still can’t believe I’m in Hawai’i. Maybe I can learn how to be happy and enjoy my life.

I emerge from the shower. Preston is now dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts.

The waiter shows up, setting out our spread on the little table outside. Preston pours me coffee once it has brewed in the French press.

“Sorry, I guess they don’t have oat milk.” He winks, and I smile.

“It’s okay. Coconut is fine.”

I take a sip and am in heaven. I pour coconut syrup over my li hing pancakes, cut off a piece, and take a bite. My taste buds dance inside my mouth.

Preston, on the other hand, is devouring lobster benedict. I try to bite my tongue and not go into a verbal tirade. I shouldn’t impose my beliefs on others, but I can’t help myself.

“How’s the lobster? You know they scream when they’re boiled alive. They’re smart animals and feel pain.”

Preston smirks. “Tasty little guys,” he says after he shoves another piece of lobster in his mouth. “Look, Yessi. I may stop selling puppies, but no way in hell am I going to become vegan. I’ll always eat meat. And lobsters.”

I try not to lose my appetite. “You know you can fully subside on vegan food. In fact, several bodybuilders are vegan. I can show you how.”

“Not gonna happen,” he says as he takes another big bite of the lobster. I picture the lobster in my mind, his claws flailing in the air as he’s slowly lowered into the boiling water to his death. I hear the cries he makes in my head. Tears well in my eyes.

I sometimes wish I didn’t feel like this. Why do I care so much about animals’ pain?
