He pushes inside me, gently allowing me to stretch around him. Just like that first time, I feel tears begin to well up in my eyes. This time, though, I don’t close them. I won’t waste this chance to hold him, to look him right in the eyes, when I know in a few days it will be gone. Instead, I drag him down to me, kissing him deeply as my legs lock around his hips.
His thrusts are shallow, more of a slow grind than anything, but this new position is pushing the head of his cock right up against my prostate. My dick is leaking, the precome lubricating its slide against his stomach. I’m overwhelmed by sensation and know I won’t last long.
“Fuck, baby. Gonna come soon. Come inside me?”
Even as my eyelids droop, I hold his gaze, my body wracked with pleasure. He’s not far behind me, crying out as I feel him fill me up. He lands on top of me and I wrap my arms around him, never wanting to let him go.
The next morning, I wake up to Finn stirring at my back, his arm across my stomach. He kisses my shoulder, whispering softly.
“I’m gonna go for a run, go back to sleep.”
I grumble, grabbing his hand and pulling him back for another kiss.
“If you let me go, I’ll be nice and sweaty for you when you wake up.”
That does it, and I let go of his hand, drifting back into sleep.
The next time I wake up, it’s to the sound of the door opening.
“Oh shit. Sorry.”
Jamie is there, holding what looks like a pile of towels in front of his face.
Wondering at his shyness, I look down, realizing I’m naked as the day I was born.
Nothing he hasn’t seen before.
Still, I pull the sheets up and over me.
“Did you need something? I’m decent now.”
Slowly, the towels come down to reveal him, red-faced with embarrassment.
“I was just going to give Finn some fresh towels while he’s running. Did I…mix up the rooms?”
I recognize it for what it is, a chance to erase this all, to pretend it didn’t happen.
I don’t take it.
“No. This is his room. Why don’t…why don’t I get dressed and we can talk?”
He nods, setting the towels down in the bathroom and looking at me once more before leaving the room.
I end up pulling on a pair of Finn’s sweats and a t-shirt, before I pad down the stairs, hearing movement in the kitchen.
As I enter, Ethan and Jamie both look up, and for a second I consider turning right back around. Still, I know this is a conversation that needs to happen, especially after last night. Ethan walks over to where Jamie is sitting at the counter, raising his eyebrows at him. Jamie nods, accepting a kiss on the forehead, and watches as Ethan walks out beside me.
“You guys can read each others’ minds now?” I ask, unable to hold back the sarcasm.
“You will, too, one day,” he responds, and for a moment I want to ask who all is included in that you.
I sit down next to him, taking a deep breath and sighing it out.
“I’m guessing you’ve got some questions.”
He turns to look at me, and I’m a little surprised to find he isn’t angry. Every time I’ve thought of telling him, I’ve assumed it would end in a fight. I imagined him telling me I wasn’t good enough for Finn, that I didn’t deserve him, echoes of the thoughts that have been marching through my own mind.
And while this conversation isn’t over yet, this Jamie doesn’t look like he’s spoiling for a fight. I think back to his silent conversation with Ethan and wonder if I have him to thank for this.
