“Good luck,” I offered, nodding my head again. “If you need anything, 14D is me.”

Landon nodded his head, and that was it–that was what we were capable of, but it was more than a month ago, so little victories.

I pulled out my phone, my mood immediately improving at just the thought of messaging Knight back as I pulled out my keys to my own place.

I hadn’t meant to leave him on read, but Ash was annoyingly persistent when he wanted something, like Thayer never told him no before, and now that was my problem.

BaskarKnight: Metal, you know how much I love being left on read–love a good chase. I assume you’re busy doing very important things, but you should know that I just built a bookshelf and carried in the last box–the box that has my comic book collection, so I can school your ass with references next time you cross me.

MetalMonkey: I swear you’re just looking for a reason–can’t you just be patient? Maybe I was gearing up with a sick-ass good morning text that would knock your friggin socks off.

BaskarKnight: You’re worth the wait, but three hours is a long time. I just want to make sure you haven’t forgotten about little old me.

MetalMonkey: Impossible–you’re my first actual friend, and I need proof for my mom someday.

BaskarKnight: Yes, because I’m sure the proof you want to offer your kind mother with excellent cooking skills is vaguely flirty messages from a gay man on a hook-up app.

MetalMonkey: I know, we really need to work on your flirting before my mom looks–I can’t be embarrassed by you with her. I need her to think I only talk to the smoothest of gay guys.

Flopping onto my bed in a lazy thud was just what I wanted. I didn’t get days off often, and when I did, they were always busy, but today was the first lazy one in a while.

No errands to run and no appointments or scheduled meetings–it was nice.

It was nice to take off my pants, crash into bed at three in the afternoon, and set my phone to do-not-disturb. I flicked out of our messages, opening up the browser on my phone to scroll through my porn options on this fine Friday.

It was the little things in life.

Nothing was really speaking to me, which wasn’t even shocking–porn was pretty boring for me, too. It was all fake, and half of it was messy and gross. I did a lot better with just turning my brain off and letting the feeling just linger in my body with every stroke.

“Oh my god,” I groaned softly into the empty room, head tilted back and hand loosely wrapped around my shaft, stroking nice and slow.

It wasn’t a race, and I was in no rush, just ready to sink into the feeling deep.

There were upsides to lasting for-fucking-ever, and there were downsides–days like today were upsides.

It had been a long time since I wasted a day just jerking off for the fun of it.

My phone shouldn’t have notified me, but I still felt the vibration of a message. I had no doubt it was from Knight, and as good as this all felt, I wanted to check it. I slowly picked it up from my bed, barely cracked open my eyes to unlock it, and looked at the message.

BaskarKnight: Hey, I could totally swoon your fucking socks off, Metal. You’re the one who drew that line in the sand.

Another slow stroke, only that one came with a spark of something sweeter behind it.

My brain was almost mush after so much of this, a haze lingering in the air and making me almost dizzy with want for seemingly nothing.

MetalMonkey: Alright. Ban lifted temporarily. Swoon me, Knight.

BaskarKnight: Seriously? Because I’m pretty sure all I have to do is tell you that you’re a good boy, and I’m in.

Fuck–that sparked something for sure.

A new, feverish kind of need fell over me, forcing my hand to move a little faster for more. My eyes were having a hard time staying open, and it was weird to text with one hand, but I was too drunk on whatever this feeling was to care about any of it.

MetalMonkey: Say something like that again.

BaskarKnight: Why? You getting off to it over there, Metal?

Oh god–the need to cum came so suddenly that it was almost too much. I wanted it so badly and needed it even more, yet my hand slowed down like I wasn’t ready for it yet–like I wasn't almost crying out for it.
