Oh, come on.
Tommy is wearing jeans and a dark, long-sleeved T-shirt. He’s carrying what looks like a rain jacket in one hand.
That’s all.
No suit.
No tie.
Nothing remotely complicated.
And somehow he looks like he stepped off a magazine cover.
The shirt fits closely enough across his chest and shoulders that my eyes get stuck there for a second.
Then another.
His mouth curves.
“Evening.”
I drag my gaze back to his face.
“Hi.”
Smooth.
Very smooth.
Tommy leans in and kisses my cheek.
Soft.
Barely there.
His aftershave mixes with the clean scent of soap and suddenly I’m thinking about what he was doing in his room during the last hour.
Shower.
Probably naked.
Oh Ella. Behave.
“Everything okay?” he asks.
I realise I’m still staring at him.
“Yes.”
His eyes narrow slightly.
There is a good chance he knows I’m lying.
Before he can ask again, I gesture towards myself.
“I may have made a packing error.”
His gaze moves down my body.
