“Cleaning up,” I reply. “It was pure madness here.”

“There was method in my madness. I knew where everything was. Before you ruined it.”

“Well, that was more than just madness. It needed a woman’s touch.”

“And you’re the right woman to do that?”

“What do you think?”

Without replying to me, Axel steps into the room and immediately takes his shirt off. I involuntarily gasp as I see those exquisite muscles of his again. Flashbacks to me spilling my tea over him and him removing his shirt then come flooding back and I feel a gentle warmth in my nether regions.

Axel raises an eyebrow at me and I immediately spin back around so I’m no longer staring at his naked torso.

“How about, next time, you warn me before you get naked,” I say in a tense whisper.

“I’m just changing my shirt, Maddie,” he replies. “But I can show you my cock if you’ll like.”

I laugh at that. The man’s cheekiness doesn’t scare me in the slightest. “There’s probably not much to see.”

There it is. My inner bad bitch. Back again.

The rockstar growls, and I subtly turn my head as he fetches a fresh shirt. I sneak a glance at his body again when he can’t notice me. That R tattoo of his stands out.

“You want to bet on that?”

“This conversation would be a field day for HR,” I observe.

“Good thing Ravaged hasn’t got an HR department then,” he replies. “Good thing that you’re technically my girlfriend.”

“Technically, I never agreed to see your cock,” I retort.

“Touché. But you will kiss me. When the time comes.”

Oh, God. The thought of that. Those famous lips on mine…

Get your head back in the room, Maddie.

But how can I when those tattoos on him are irresistible? They complement his body like a cherry on a freshly baked pie.

This whole fake relationship thing is really going to mess with my head. I despise him one moment, and the next I’m admiring his body and his talent and then the next…

“Why don’t you turn around and have a proper look at me?” he asks to my back. “I know you want to.”

“You presume a lot about me, don’t you? Unlike those groupies of yours, I’m not falling for any of your pre-scripted lines. I’m here in a professional capacity.”

“Sure. What’s wrong, Maddie? Little bit frightened you might get used to this lifestyle?”

“Not in the slightest.”

“Maybe you should, girl.”

He doesn’t believe me. He thinks he’ll be able to wear me down with his honeyed words.

And I’m kind of afraid he might.

“Come with me now,” Axel says when he’s fully changed.

I face him. “Where are we going?”
