“Favorite color?” he asks, whispering so as to not alert Axel or my mom.

Bishop and I are playing a silly questions game. It’s an easy way to find out the most random and irreverent trivia about each other. I was doubtful about its merits when he suggested it to me, but it’s actually kinda fun.

“Green,” I reply. “Try something harder.”

“Okay. Favorite food?”

I roll my eyes. “That’s easy. Seafood.”

He looks at me with disgust. “You like seafood?”

“Come on, is that one of your questions?”

Bishop laughs. “No. Fine, then. Favorite sex position?”

I hit him playfully on the arm. “I’m not telling you that.”

“Why not?”

“It’s for you to find out. If you’re lucky.”

I feel his hard erection press against my leg. It helps that we’re both naked. I’m not going to give him the satisfaction of playing with his member, though. He’s gonna have to work a little harder to get me frisky.

“You’re making things difficult, Chloe. Right, I’m going to shoot through some quick-fire ones. Sound good?”

“Shoot ahead.”

“Indoors or outdoors?” he asks.

“Indoors.”

“Favorite TV show?”

“Gilmore Girls.”

“Favorite animal?”

“Super random, but I guess a snow leopard. They’re very cute.”

Bishop smiles. “If money didn’t matter, what would you buy yourself?”

Oh. That question makes me think. He’s really got me there.

But I do have an answer. Something I’ve actually never told anyone.

“A Gibson guitar, for sure. They’re the best. Definitely an older model, something real classy. I’ve always wanted one, but they are super expensive.”

Bishop nods at me. “That’s nice. I guess most people will say some kind of stupid car.”

“My brother would say that. He dreams of buying a motorbike.”

“That’s so Axel.”

“And what about you?”

“I don’t really give a shit about money,” Bishop replies. “I’m more interested in the work.”

“For being such a popular guy at school, you’re really into your academia, aren’t you? Breaking all the cliches.”
