“Nonsense,” he whispers as he strokes my cheek, calming me down. He’s always able to soothe me. It’s like his superpower.

We’re sitting on my bed, my door closed. We’re yet again hiding Bishop’s presence from my family, and especially my brother next door.

“Your kisses always make me feel better,” I reply, closing my eyes. “Your kisses make me forget the world outside this room.”

The man leans back. “You need to learn not to be so nervous when you perform, Chloe,” he says. “You need to get over that fear.”

“I can’t.”

“Look, I took the risk sneaking in here today in order to help you practice for Drake’s audition, and now I know that things may be harder than they first appear, but I’m going to see you on that stage in front of Drake and whoever’s going to be there. You’re going to be fucking amazing. You’re going to be a rockstar, remember that.”

“Okay.”

“We can do it, Chloe. You can do it.”

He’s so passionate about the idea of helping me play that he raises his voice. I place a finger over his mouth and hush him quickly.

“Be careful or Axel will hear you. He’ll recognize your voice.”

Bishop sniggers.

“Oh, he’ll kill me if he ever found out I was in here screwing his sister.”

I slap him on the shoulder.

“Stop it, Bishop.”

He takes my chin in his fingers and draws me in for another long kiss.

“I like this being so forbidden,” he says. “Makes you seem so much more irresistible.”

“Shut up.”

“Do you know how much I think about you?”

I can’t resist. “How much?”

“All the fucking time.”

“Really?”

“I have dreams about you, Chloe.”

“I dream about you too.”

“And what happens in those dreams?”

I smirk. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

“Very much so, yes. Especially if they’re anywhere near as naughty as the dreams I have about you… and your body.”

“Now you really need to shut up.”

Bishop places his hand on my leg and slowly glides up towards my sensitive parts. I let him do so. I let him reach the rim of my pants before I slap his wandering hand away.

“We need to focus,” I admonish him. “Stop being cheeky.”

He grunts. Denied.
