Chloe shakes her head again and stands up.
“I’m not going to deal with this,” she announces.
“What are you doing?”
“You can’t even acknowledge the past,” she whispers sharply. “You can’t acknowledge my broken heart.”
And then she walks away.
So goddamn stubborn.
“Chloe…”
I call out her name, but she doesn’t answer.
She’s still mad at me. And I know she’s never going to forgive me.
Maybe this is it.
All our encounters seem to end with an argument. We can’t seem to reconcile the past.
Maybe things between us will never work.
You get crazy when I say goodbye
But I wouldn’t have it any other way
You say those words, and I don’t speak
And we tumble away
Oh, we tumble away

BISHOP
I don’t usually remember my dreams, but tonight I do.
I’m at an airport, searching for something.
Someone.
Chloe Stoll.
She’s getting on a plane, and I can see her even though she’s at the other end of the terminal. I start running towards her, screaming her name.
But she doesn’t see me. She doesn’t hear me.
She’s getting on the plane.
And then it starts to head down the runway.
And I’m following. I’m chasing the plane as it gears up, ready for takeoff.
I know I’ll never see her again if the plane gets in the air, so I run and I run.
But I never catch it.
