Victoria’s face paled, her expression calculating. She was too smart to think that Kira wanted to be with Henrikk, but her ambition overruled her reason.

“Fine,” Victoria snapped, following Kira deeper into the wolf dorm. “But be quick. It smells like dog in here. Which one is your room?”

“This one,” Kira stopped outside Susie’s room.

“So drab,” Victoria said, looking at the plain door with the calendar pinned to it. She gave an exaggerated sigh, glancing around the dorm and making it clear she didn’t want to be here. “Alright, go on. Chop, chop. And leave the door open!”

Thankfully, Susie almost never locked her door, not even since the attack. It was unlocked now, and Kira opened it and slipped inside, swinging the door half shut.

Susie had evidently just had a shower; she was standing by the bed, wrapped in a towel while drying her hair with another. She looked up in surprise.

“Kira—?”

Kira pushed Susie out of sight behind the door, covering her mouth to muffle her question. Susie stared at her wide eyes.

Pressing a finger to her lips, Kira pulled Susie into the wardrobe, closing the double doors behind them.

She hurriedly filled Susie in on what had happened.

“Do you think Headmaster Arken will help Nathaniel?” Kira asked.

She knew the headmaster and Nathaniel were friends, but she did not know if that friendship transcended Arken’s loyalty to the Vampire King.

Susie nodded determinedly. “Of course. We’ll help both of you. I’ll go find him now.”

“Thank you,” Kira said gratefully. “Stay here until I leave.”

She cracked the wardrobe door open, but Susie gripped her arm. “Be careful.”

Kira nodded. “I will.”

Kira climbed out and shut the wardrobe behind her. The damp towel Susie had been drying her hair with lay on the ground. Kira hurriedly used it to clean the worst of the mud off her shoes, before dabbing at a dirt mark on her cream skirt. It wasn’t pristine, but it would have to do.

“Kira, can you hurry up?” Victoria called, popping her head in.

Kira froze, but managed a half-convincing smile. “Nearly ready!”

Victoria glanced around the simple room, unimpressed, before ducking out.

Kira let out a soft breath. She was tempted to morph now, but fighting Felix and Victoria wouldn’t help her get into Wintermaw Keep. Her captors were conveniently taking her to the very place she wanted to go. It was risky, but she didn’t have time to waste. Nathaniel needed her, and she needed to stop him from killing his father before she lost him for forever. The thought of him becoming cursed was unbearable.

And I need to stop the wedding.

Pretending to be an obedient pet was her best chance of staying on Victoria’s good side. But she eased the plug out of her ass anyway, grimacing silently as the bulging toy stretched the tight band of muscle. Not wanting to piss off Victoria in case she checked, she left the plug in the seat of her panties where it sat heavily. The silver was still contacting her skin, the metal inhibiting her magic. She would find a subtle way to get rid of it later.

As long as it doesn’t drop on the ground in front of Victoria.

She rejoined the vampires in the corridor, shutting the door behind her.

“It’s amazing what a little water can do,” she said brightly to Victoria, showing off her blue heels.

“It is amazing,” Victoria agreed, drifting behind Kira and lifting her skirt. “Oh, sweetie, look! The plug’s come out!”

Kira winced as the vampire lined the plug up with her asshole and shoved it back in.

“That’s better. Ready to go?”

In the carriage, Victoria insisted on feeding from her again. Despite Kira’s protests, she didn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.
