She looked up at him through her lashes.
“Thank you, Daddy.”
Jase swallowed fast.
I am definitely going to be sick.

“Show me what you’ve got,”
The bitch giggled. Jase looked over at Braxton. He was stone-faced. Spider looked pissed. That was good. Where was the other cretin?
The blonde turned to Spider. “Spider—” she started. “Oh, never mind.”
She turned her gaze to Braxton. “Braxton, you get our guests. Set them up around the dining room table. Spider, get rid of the flowers and the tablecloth.” She turned to Ely. “Seriously, can’t we get a different safe house?”
“Nobody will ever suspect that we’re using the British Ambassador’s mother-in-law’s house. She’s stays in Georgia most of the time, anyway. So, this is perfect.”
“It gives me hives.”
He gave cupped her face and leaned in. His kiss was gentle. “Just a few more days and we get to leave Dubai,” he whispered. “And, because of you, we’re going to leave seven and a half million dollars richer. That’s on top of the fifty million.”
“And don’t you forget it,” she sighed up at him. “Never, ever, leave money on the table.”
“That’s my girl.”
Braxton cleared his throat.
Ely looked over his shoulder at Braxton. “I believe my girl gave you an order.”
“You’re right, she did.” He put two fingers to his forehead, pulled a gun out of his shoulder holster, and headed for the hallway. He gave a piercing glance at Jase as he rounded the corner. Jase followed him as they went to the room he had been tied up in and closed the door behind them.
“Damn good thing I still have some zip ties with me,” Braxton said as Jase turned around and gave his wrists to Braxton to bind.
“How much did you hear?”
“Started with you saying, ‘tell me to kill, I kill’. Pretty cold stuff, Brax.”
“Okay, so you know about the C-4. That’s good.”
“And that you can kiss a psychotic icicle. How was that?”
“I don’t even want to think about it,” Braxton shivered. “Thank God her ‘Daddy’s’ here. Which is another thing I don’t want to think about. Look, I really had to rough up Ryker, otherwise Spider and that other idiot were going to do it. Gideon is fine. He played up meek and scared perfectly.”
“Do you know what’s next?”
“No. But wanting the lights to go out seems to me like a they need a fast exit. Maybe some kind of kidnapping?” Braxton guessed.
“Or it could be an assassination,” Jase countered. “We’ve got to get the info to Kostya so he can see what or who is going on in the next few days at the museum.”
“The fact that the C-4 is here and they’re talking about the next payment of seven and a half million says that they still intend to go through with the bombing of the embassies.”
Jase winced when the zip-ties bit into his bloody wrists. “Agreed.”
“Okay, let’s go get Ryker and Gideon,” Braxton said as he turned Jase to the door.
