“Define everything,” Ryker growled. “Does that include how Brax beat the shit out of me and stabbed me?”

“Such a baby,” Jase shook his head and gave him a fake, sympathetic look.

“Would you two shut it?” Gideon snarled. “Here’s what I know. Brax reported to him. The C-4 was put on an orange tanker truck heading back into the city. Should have been easy enough to stop, unfortunately there is a convoy of at least one hundred orange tankers headed back to the city every day. Mostly to the Burj Khalifa.”

“Why in the hell are oil tankers going to the Burj Khalifa? The tower runs on electricity,” Jase pointed out.

“Yep, the tallest building in the world is perfectly modern, except it is not connected to a sewer system. Those trucks pick up all the sewage each day. Tons of it. Then they truck it out to a sewage treatment plant out in the desert, then turn back around and do it all over again.”

“Are you shitting me?” Ryker asked.

Jase and Gideon both chuckled softly.

“Okay, poor choice of words. But still, you’re messing with me, right?”

“I am not. So, the C-4 is on one of those trucks, coming into the city. Brax doesn’t know which one. We’re still going on the assumption that the Kraken is going to use this to blow up the US Consulate and the British Embassy. We just don’t have a timeline.”

“If we stop the C-4, then we stop the plan,” Jase said.

“That’s how Kostya sees it, too. Apparently, the trucks never deviate from their routes, so the C-4 is going to be handed off in the basement of the Burj. That means that someone from our team is going to need to be there to intercept it.”

“And here I thought I had the shittiest part of this assignment,” Ryker laughed. “Do we know who Kostya is sending in?”

“Keegan, Tanner, and Landon are going in. There need to be three men because that area is huge.”

“How many tons of waste a day is there?” Jase asked.

“How should Gideon know?” Ryker looked at Jase like he was crazy.

“Seven tons of excrement, then with water for brushing your teeth, showers and so on, it comes to about fifteen tons.”

“Of course, he knows, he’s Gideon,” Jase smirked.

Ryker shuddered. “Please tell me you don’t share this kind of information with Jada, cause if you do, you’re never getting laid again.”

“It is not my vast amounts of knowledge that my woman is after me for,” Gideon grumbled. “Dammit, I want to get home.”

“Me too,” Ryker agreed.

“Me three.” Jase said emphatically.

“How come I’m thinking you’ve been holding out on us?” Ryker looked over at Jase in surprise.

“I’ve been dating a single mother who is skittish about relationships, and extremely skittish about Navy SEALs. I think she heard about every oat you ever sowed, Ryker.”

“I wasn’t that bad,” he protested.

“Yes, you were,” Gideon disagreed. “Now enough girl talk. Brax is still with Amanda.”

“I saw them kiss. I hope she’s not demanding anything more of him,” Jase winced.

“I bet he’d prefer to be working in the shit basement,” Ryker said.

“This still sounds like girl talk,” Gideon admonished them both. “Kostya’s bringing everybody else to the museum tomorrow. The good news is, we’ll have an idea when they’ll strike. Hopefully, we can get more information while we’re here, whiling away the hours.”

“Yeah, like who ordered the hit.” Jase rubbed his shoulder against the carpet, trying to scratch an itch.

“Also, finding out how they plan to take out the prinsh, I mean prince, would be nice,” Ryker commented. He rolled over three times until his front was nestled against Jase’s back. “I think it’s about time we did a little reconnaissance. Unbuckle my belt.”
