“No, sir. The contracts require your signature, or the deal will fall through. The deadline is on Monday, and I understand you will be indisposed this weekend.”

“Okay.” I sigh inside because I really don’t have time to head off to the ocean this weekend.

“Have them ready when I return from the Crypt.”

He nods and I offer him a rare smile.

“Thanks, man. I appreciate everything you do.”

He smiles and I detect the emotion in his expression. I don’t know what I would do without him. He is vital to the smooth running of my life and despite the fact I pay him well, I do try to thank him once in a while.

By the time I’ve changed into Angel, I’m already ten minutes late and I curse Gabriel.

He held me up with his whiskey and invitations. I hate that he summons me first thing most days. It’s a habit I have been unable to break. He calls the shots and probably always will.

The guys collectively roll their eyes when I enter, and I hold up my hands. “Blame Gabriel. It’s nothing to do with me.”

“What news from our master?” Ghost says drily.

“There is another stalker.”

I have their attention.

“Another bouquet arrived for Sophie, and I understand one of our operatives questioned the driver.”

“It was Beau.”

Titan nods his agreement. “I was going to raise it this morning. He has been keeping a close eye on Sophie and noticed the driver stop at the security hut. He handed the bouquet to the guard on duty. When the driver turned around, Beau followed him, making sure backup was in place at the studio.”

“What did he discover?”

Havoc is interested, and Titan shrugs. “Not a lot. The driver delivers for the florist and has several drops during the day. He said it was on his job sheet, and it wasn’t uncommon to deliver flowers to the studio.”

“What about the card?”

“That’s the interesting part.”

Titan leans forward, his expression grim.

“This time, there wasn’t a card with the bouquet. It was delivered without one.”

The silence is immediate as we assess the news. Finally, Zac speaks up. “So, it’s an inside job. The card must have been added before the flowers reached Sophie.”

“We need background checks on everyone associated with the movie and the studio.”

“There isn’t time. That could take all fucking year.”

I blow out a breath, my fingers tapping on the table, a habit I really should attempt to break.

“Do we have anyone on the inside?”

“A couple of operatives.” Titan concurs.

“Then brief them. Ask them to intercept the flowers if they can. Have eyes on Sophie’s dressing room, her assistant too.”

“On it.”

Ghost is deep in thought.
