I hold out my hand.
His fingers shake as he slides it on, and then, he carefully pulls me into his arms and kisses me.
“Am I really going to be a dad?”
“If everything goes well, yes. You are.”
Clint starts to cry, burying his face in my neck. I hold him, stroking his back until he pulls back, smiling so wide I think he might shine brighter than the sun.
Then sausages in bread are handed out. It’s not the fancy pack-making events. There are no influencers and cameras. No one is doing tests. It’s just a group of people on a beach having a good time.
I smile until my face aches, but then Felix grabs me, the puppy we are calling Ghost, our pack and dog, and drags us to the gallery. When I walk in, Felix has recovered all the stones I painted.
Every single one from Smitten Knot Bitten, Light Knot Night, and Trick Knot Treat are on the wall, on display.
I have my very own section of the gallery.
Spectre and Ghost lay down in the cute pen I had Dad set up for Ghost today. There’s water and food, and they will sleep, completely exhausted from running around.
I whirl back around, looking at the stones again. “How did you get all these?”
“We are very persuasive,” Jace says with a smile. “It took me, Zaire, and Clint two weeks to convince everyone to send them in, but we have them all.”
“You guys are amazing,” I whisper.
“Says you, carrying our baby and bringing us a puppy to love,” Jace growls.
“I have no words,” Zaire says thickly. “Just that I love you all.” He lifts his hand to his chest, touching the brand new tattoo of a shell that we now all have. I see the gesture, and my gaze softens. I reach up and touch mine.
Sometimes, we don’t need words, just a gesture to a tattoo that binds us together as close as bonds do.
“Ditto that,” Clint whispers.
Felix wipes my tears away and drags me up to his nest.
We are working on a joint nest at home, but right now, this is where we come when we want to relax. The crimson and black, the satin and sleek lines always makes my heart throb.
“Are you going to tie me up, Felix?” I purr at him.
Felix grins. “Trick or treat, Omega?”
I fall onto the bed and crawl backwards as my pack follows me, shutting the door behind us and locking us in. Jace passes his handcuffs to Felix.
I grin, watching them crawl towards me.
“I want both.”
Chapter 40
Epilogue
Matty
“Welcome to Truelove Knot Tinsel. We are counting down the twelve days until Christmas with twelve dates with your matches. Oh, yes, this is bigger, badder, better. Twelve dates...what? This doesn’t make sense.”
Lorelei’s words die as she looks down at her notes.
“This isn’t right. Who tampered with my event?” she mutters, but the microphone picks it up.
