“Come play with me, Alpha,” I whisper and lean in like I’m going to kiss him.
At the last second, I pull back and drag him through the crowd.
****
I’ve found him alone again. His ability to escape me is maddening. I’ve got him pinned to a tree, my lips on his throat. He’s holding on to me like he’s never going to let go.
“Feel good?”
“Mm, Gian, please. More.”
“Greedy little toy,” I murmur.
“You will go over there right now and find out,” Lorelei growls.
“Mum, seriously, leave them alone.”
“Do it, Sofia.”
Harvest growls, but he shoves me back and watches the omegas.
“Get your ass over to Clint’s house now.”
I groan. “Little brother is going to pay for this interruption.”
Harvest is already heading for his bike.
I climb on the back, my arms around his waist.
I’ve taken to stalking him. Though it’s not my fault. He’s taken to hiding and running away.
It’s something about the angry, fierce way he tries to resist me, but my touch turns him molten.
The library was fun.
Watching him perch up there, refusing to come down. Scared of little old me and what I can offer him.
I break into Khione’s house and sit on the bed beside him, watching him sleep.
“Keep running. You’ll be mine eventually, baby.”
I reach out and take his hand. In his sleep, he rolls into me, burying his face in my chest, seeking me out, even if he can’t bring himself to do it when he’s awake. Yet.
He’s walking up the front lawn of my stepbrother’s house. He pauses to bend and look at something, but he’s got no idea he’s being hunted. It’s easy to creep up on him, though I do notice that he knows I’m there.
Hayden Harvest Grimes. He’s vicious, violent, loyal, and notorious for being incredibly selective about who he sleeps with.
I grab his neck and spin him around so he’s facing me.
“Hayden.”
His eyes widen slightly in surprise.
“Harvest,” he corrects with a growl.
I grin wider. “Baby.”
His face closes down. “I’m not your baby.”
