“I’m going to go deal with these idiots; you stay right here,” I whisper and kiss his cheek.

Felix crouches beside him and studies the alpha intently. He looks up at me, and then he does something that has me absolutely softening for the omega.

He purrs.

Zaire shifts closer to the omega. An instinctive move towards that which is his and safe. I have a moment to regret it’s not me, but the rest of me is pleased.

“I’m telling you now, if you don’t fuck off out of my face, I’m going to make sure you have no work for the next year,” Clint snarls into the face of Sofia’s other alpha, the one called Mack.

If Clint is an inferno of rage, then Jace is icy calm.

I walk through them all and stop in front of Lorelei Sol, gazing at her. She looks at me and clicks her tongue.

“I don’t have time right now, Kandy.”

“You will give me this pack or I will pull them from the event.” My voice rings with confidence and demands obedience. I am, after all, my father’s daughter.

Sofia, Devon, Fox, Cordelia, and Asher, who has come back for the night, snap their heads towards me.

“What?” Lorelei laughs. “Who are you to…”

I smile sweetly and take off my hat, letting my long golden hair tumble out. Then I take the scent suppressant patch off. It only takes seconds before they catch my scent.

Cinnamon sugar. And it’s clear as day that I am not and have never been a beta. My designation is too strong, too sweet, and too obvious.

Omega.

It’s only seconds before Jace and Clint are at my side, growling at their family and friends. Zaire is staring at me like I have a second head, but Felix has an expression of pure satisfaction.

“You will allow me to join their match, or I won’t allow them to continue.”

“You can’t do that.”

I smile coldly at all of them.

“Jace…”

“Whatever my omega wants,” Jace says with a hint of wonder.

“She gets,” Clint finishes with a smug smile.

Lorelei gets red in the face, furious, but at last she nods. “Okay. If you want to make this more complicated, by all means, go ahead. But if the alphas choose Felix over you, then you must let them go.”

I stare at her. She doesn’t get it. They all think Felix and I are going to be competing here.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

I glance at the omega, who stands up and walks towards me.

“There is no choosing,” Felix says slowly. “This omega belongs to me.”

I am sure the entirety of Sunshine Cove gapes at us, through the TV, in person, and telepathically.

Felix is so sure, so confident, so utterly, sinfully sexy.

It’s like they’ve never seen him before.

Lorelei struggles to regain control. “Fine! Fine. Hurry up and continue the date. I want this day over with.”
