"What about the color?" Amanda asked. "White? Cream? Or perhaps pink? It can even be red. Your choice."

"Ivory, but with warm, pink undertones, not yellow."

"Got it." Amanda scribbled with her stylus over the glass. "Embroidery?"

"As long as it is not gold and no sun disk."

Amanda wrote everything down, then looked at Annani. "Anything else before I send the list to Dominique?"

"A tiara," Alena said. “Or a diadem as they were once called.”

Amanda looked at Annani. "A tiara?"

"Why not? I have several diadems to choose from."

Amanda frowned. "You do? Why?"

"Don't ask," Alena murmured. "You don't want to know."

Annani laughed. "They were presents from appreciative kings and princes."

Amanda put down her stylus and leaned back. "Now I really want to know."

"Later," Alena said. "We need to decide on the venue."

"The village green is lovely," Amanda said. "Most of our celebrations are held there, but it's too casual for the Clan Mother's wedding. Besides, winter is coming, and it might rain."

"It never rains in Los Angeles until it does," Syssi said. "And then it's always on the day something was planned for the outdoors."

Amanda nodded. "The great reception hall at the keep is the only venue large enough to hold everyone comfortably with room to spare, and it simplifies the logistics. Sari and David's wedding was beautiful."

It was also near the dungeon where Navuh was, which made it perfect. She would enjoy knowing that the male who had held her mate for thousands of years and let her suffer would hear the music and know she was celebrating her new life with her mate, while he would spend the rest of his miserable life locked up, and even that was a mercy he did not deserve.

"The grand hall is perfect," Annani said.

Amanda looked surprised, as if she had expected objections. "The cruise ship might have been even better, but I don't know if we can make it ready in three weeks. Besides, for all we know, Khiann might have a problem with being on a ship, and we don't want the groom to spend his wedding throwing up."

"We can do a cruise ship honeymoon," Syssi suggested. "And if Khiann gets sick, we can fly you two to the clan property in Hawaii."

Annani leaned back in her chair. "I like the idea of a honeymoon with my entire clan celebrating with us. We also have several couples who didn't get the chance to get married on the previous wedding cruise. My wedding could be the opening act, and then the others will follow."

Alena lifted her hand. "Let's finalize this one first. I will handle the travel arrangements and hosting for clan members arriving from Scotland and the sanctuary. We have several apartments available in the keep, but I want to save those for the immediate family and for the bachelor and bachelorette parties."

"We are neither bachelor nor bachelorette," Annani said. "We are already married."

Alena waved a dismissive hand. "You know what I mean. The new clan tradition is to have pre-wedding celebrations for the bride and groom while they are preparing for the event. The out-of-town guests will stay in the tower across the street."

"I'm sure most of the rooms are booked," Syssi said.

"We cancel the reservations," Amanda said. "We claim a gas leak and book rooms at other hotels for the people whose reservations we cancel."

Syssi arched a brow. "A gas leak three weeks in advance? That will sound fishy even to the most gullible people."

"Right." Amanda rubbed her chin with her thumb. "A city-mandated gas-safety inspection, then. We were just notified. We book them at another hotel at our expense and give them a voucher for a free stay on a different date."

"That sounds costly," Syssi said.

"We are talking about the Clan Mother's wedding. No expense will be spared."
