Jason flicks the tip of the knife across my forearm. I wince at the burn, groaning under my breath. “Something like that.” He crosses to the other side of me and flicks the knife again, the tip digging into the skin just below my elbow.

“We were warned that you were different. That you had killed. We had to be careful on how we completed our task. To earn our prize.”

Jason returns to my face. I turn my head in a futile attempt to get away. He grabs my neck, pulling me upward. The knife settles at the base of my throat and I yelp. It takes everything in me to keep my bottom lip from trembling.

“Tyler didn’t want in, at first. Being the golden boy and all. It wasn’t too hard to convince him. That pay out would still be more than he would inherit from his parents. He found out last year they changed their will to donate half of their inheritance to some backwoods charity when they kick the bucket. Poor little rich boy didn’t like his retirement being sold out from under him, so he agreed in order to get the money he so desperately desired.”

He inclines my face towards his until our lips nearly touch. The heat from his lips flutter over my own. I still at the contact before attempting to shake my head to get him off me. His grip on my neck tightens.

“All we needed to do was bring your severed head to the drop point and all the spoils would be ours. Well, mine. Good job taking care of Tyler, by the way.”

I stop fighting his merciless hold and remain silent at Jason’s comment. He continues without pause.

“I planned on taking him out at some point to tie up loose ends and keep the money all for myself. I didn’t realize he planned on mimicking The Slayer’s original killings to the letter. Who would’ve known he was secretly a corpse fucker? And his own brother of all people! Revolting little cunt.”

His hand slithers its way to my warm center, fingers grazing between my slick folds. My body arches on instinct and I whimper at the unwanted contact. A tear slips from my cheek. “I prefer my meat more,” he pauses as he watches my body react, “warm and tender.”

His fingers slip inside and I cry out, straining against the restraints.

“No!”

He pumps his finger deeper. A second finger circling my clenched backside.

“Oh, yes, sweetheart.” The second finger presses through my tight muscles, matching the punishing speed. My body convulses at the intrusion as tears begin spilling down my face.

Jason continues his relentless assault on me, eyeing my body’s response.

“I had half a mind to kill Tyler myself. However, he caught me off guard, starting our game earlier than expected, so I never got the chance.”

Without warning, he removes his fingers from me. The emptiness is quickly replaced by the cool touch of something hard. Glancing down, I see the hilt of the knife placed at my back entrance.

I shake my head, whimpering incoherently. My energy wanes as I relentlessly twist under the rope, careful not to expose the progress of my left wrist. Jason forces me back to the center of the table with a single hand, his face mere inches from my own.

“Pity, really. Do you know how hard it is to feign being scared when you’ve conditioned your brain to feel nothing? Lucky for me, you wear your heart on your sleeve. It wasn’t hard to mimic everything you felt.”

Jason closes the distance between us with his tongue. It glides over my bottom lip before he crashes into me. The kiss is violent and sloppy. Teeth clashing, his tongue explores my own without permission. I break the kiss for enough time to breathe.

“You talk too much,” I say breathlessly before I bring his tongue between my teeth and bite down. He growls and shoves me back onto the table. Bringing a hand up, he wipes his bottom lip with his thumb. Jason examines it, dripping red in the light. A grin spreads over his face. The devil reincarnate.

I spit at him, removing any traces of his blood from my mouth. The metallic tinge still lingers.

“It’s too bad you didn’t confess your love for me sooner, little bat. We could’ve had so much fun together.” He clicks his tongue. “Oh, well. I’ll have my fun killing you. Hearing your pretty, little screams as I cut into your soft meat like a well-aged steak.”

Jason pulls the knife from my ass and strikes at my hip bone, digging deeper than before. I cry into the night, begging the universe to send someone to hear me. He closes his eyes and inhales in a deep breath before sighing. “Delicious.”

From behind, Jason’s body is silhouetted by a blinding, white light. I squint my eyes at an attempt to look through the window. Jason mumbles something under his breath before stomping over to the window, his knife graciously forgotten at my side. Seeing my chance, I shift my left wrist free of the rope. Quickly, I take the knife to cut the rest of my binds. I slink off the table, careful to not pad too hard onto the ground. Jason is still staring out the window as I readjust my footing.

Keeping my eyes glued to his back, I take a cautious step towards him. By the grace of some almighty being, he hasn’t moved. Readjusting the knife in my grip, I continue my stalk towards him. My breathing is shallow as I try to control the adrenaline coursing through my body.

I’m two steps away from him when he shouts. “You think the cops can save you?”

He turns around to face me. The tip of the blade sinks fast and deep into the side of his abdomen. I use the momentum to shove him back against the wall. The soft, damp fabric of his shirt is gentle against my skin. I push further with the knife until I feel the hardness of the drywall behind him.

Jason looks at me with a mixture of shock and pure evil. He grabs my shoulders, shoving me backwards. I stumble over my footing, falling to the ground with the knife. The wooden floor is unforgiving in my landing. Before I have a chance to shake off the sting, Jason lunges forward. My back flattens against the ground as his body lands on top of me. His attack is cut short as I shove the knife between us. This time, the sharp tip makes contact with his center mass.

Jason stays suspended in the air. The blade puncturing his intestines is the only thing keeping us apart. I shove it deeper, causing the wound to open further as blood gushes from the opening. A guttural cry escapes him as I twist the blade deeper through the soft tissue leaking from orifice. Leaning forward, my lips brush gently against his. A feather light kiss sealing his fate.

“Final girls don’t need saving. We save our damned selves,” I hiss. I jerk the knife up in a jagged motion. Jason sputters, blooding spraying from his mouth, misting me in the process. He falls off of me as his hands scramble to remove the instrument of death. Crimson liquid oozes in all directions. He reaches out for me, but his hands don’t find a hold as his blood-soaked hands slip effortlessly off my naked body. I release the handle and scramble back from his grasp. Coughing overcomes his breathing as he chokes on his own blood, his body sagging. Jason reaches for me again as I stand on weak legs, heading towards the open front door.
