“Andi, my beautiful girl, if you don’t come soon...” Beads of sweat rolled off my head, sliding down my temple. I was so close to losing it, I needed her to join me in running off the cliff.

“Wait for me,” she cooed.

I sighed and tightened my muscles, staving off my orgasm. After a long, eternal moment, I opened my eyes and looked directly into hers. They twinkled with amusement. She was smirking at me.

She was purposely holding off—edging us—I realized.

“You bitch,” I snarled, taking her hips and pulling her into me. “You fucking little tease. My little tease.” I dipped my head between her neck and shoulder and bit down, eliciting a cry from her lips. I began to thrust from underneath her. If she wasn’t going to assist in her own satisfaction, then I was going to force her into finishing.

Her nails sank into my shoulders as I thrust harder, faster, rolling just right to make sure I hit her G-spot every time she came down. She was gasping, moaning, and biting her lip until finally, she threw her head back, and I felt the telltale pulsing of her pussy. She clenched my cock, sucking it deep inside her, and the sensation caused me to fly over the edge.

A roar barreled through me as I spilled myself into her needy cunt. If threatening her life made her this wet and wanting, then next time I’d make sure she truly felt like she was in danger.

Despite it being me who was in danger.

I’d fallen for Andi years ago. I’d wanted her, dreamt about her, pleaded with God to let me have a chance. I was so past love and longing. I’d been so terrified if she knew the truth, she’d run from me. But she knew the whole time, and she’d given me her body, as well as her heart. She’d loved me for as long as I’d loved her; we were both simply too scared to admit it.

I’d signed legal papers naming her my wife, knowing just how dangerous that was.

I’d killed for her then. I’d kill for her now.

I was obsessed. I was possessed.

I. Was. Hers.

Chapter 44

Andi

“FUCK, I COULD use a smoke,” Ash muttered, a lazy grin on his lips as I slid off his lap. He fell back onto the bed, his spent cock flopping to the side. “Jesus, Andi—what you do to me.”

“What do I do to you?” I raised an eyebrow.

He lifted his head. “You’re gonna need a pole if you’re gonna go fishin’.”

A giggle escaped my lips, but it was quickly cut off when I remembered our current situation. We were in a bunker, hiding from my murderous ex-fiancé who shot me, killed his best friend, disposed of a body, and injured another. A grumble came from my stomach, and I huffed. When was the last time I’d eaten?

Gavin’s last dinner.

Asher heard my stomach and made a face. “Oh, right, I was leaving.” He sat up with a groan and slid off the bed, retrieving his clothes.

“And so was I. At the very least, I need food.” I joined him, and pain shot through my foot up to my wound. I winced when I reached for my dress. I knew the wound was still new, but I prayed this deep-rooted pain wasn’t permanent. “I think I might use the shower first.” My thigh was stiff and heavy as I walked to the small bathroom, grabbing a towel. Of course I was grateful to still be alive, but it didn’t dull the physical pain. Wrapping the towel around myself, I rejoined him in the bedroom.

“Good, do that while I go. You’ll be refreshed when I get back, we can eat, and then...” He buttoned his shirt, tucked it into his pants, and zipped them up. “We could go again. Nothing is sexier than hiding from a killer.”

I crossed my arms and shook my head, unamused. “You’re not serious. It’ll take me fifteen minutes. Wait for me.”

“No can do. I’m riding solo, and I’ll be back shortly. I’ve got to see exactly what Sawyer has.” His flirtatious smile dropped as the reality of our situation returned. I sighed. I wasn’t ready to watch him leave. Capturing the distance between us, he came to me and pressed a chaste, playful kiss on my lips. His mustache tickled my upper lip. “I’ll be back. Please, stay safe.”

He dipped out of the room, closing the door behind him. Reluctantly, instead of chasing after him, I went to shower. Turning the faucet, I stared at the running water for a long minute before stepping inside. I wanted to wash the blood and dirt off, but not the smell and feel of Ash. Forcing myself to get in, I closed my eyes and relished in the memory of our lovemaking.

Lovemaking?

Is that what we’d just done? I opened my eyes under the water and stared. If we went by the direct actions, I wouldn’t call the sex very sweet, or soft, but the way my heart was soaring still made me think otherwise.

I don’t think I’d ever made love to anyone before.

The water was lukewarm, making my shower quick. I kept my thigh wrapped to avoid soap and instead did all the necessary things and got out, my teeth already chattering. After drying off, I peeled off the wet wrapping and replaced it with dry ones, then got under the covers, wrapping myself tightly in the comforter, getting warm again. As I lay there, freshly clean and naked, I found myself fast asleep.
