She ignored him. "Tell me where she is."
"I can't tell you what I don't know."
"You expect me to believe that?"
Georgiou shrugged. "I don't particularly care what you believe."
The knife moved another fraction. Now it was drawing blood. Not enough to kill but enough that Georgiou finally stopped smiling.
"Lennox."
This time Dragan's voice carried just enough steel to cut through the rage that seemed to consume her.
She glanced at him. Only briefly. It was enough.
He saw the tears she refused to let fall. The exhaustion. The desperation. Weeks of grief balanced on the edge of that knife.
"Don't,” he warned.
"There is no other way."
"There is," he insisted.
"No." Her voice cracked. "There isn't."
“Lennox, just…”
She looked back at Georgiou.
"He knows. And if I let him walk away..." She couldn't finish. She didn't have to.
Dragan understood. If Georgiou disappeared tonight... Chloe disappeared with him.
He took one careful step closer. "Listen to me."
She didn't answer.
"If you kill him..."
"I don't care."
"I know." He kept his voice steady. "But you will."
She laughed bitterly. "You don't know that."
"I do."
Another step. "He isn't worth the guilt you’ll carry for the rest of your life."
"He took my sister. He knows where she is."
"He may,” he conceded. “Lennox."
She was breathing hard now. Her hand trembled almost imperceptibly.
"Don't let him make you into something you're not."
The corner of Georgiou's mouth lifted again. Barely.
