She sighed, wrapping her arms around his waist. “Yes. Soon. I’m glad we came home, but I am sorry you and Pat didn’t get to try out that new golf course you were so excited about.”
Bran kissed her before answering, unable to have her body touching his without putting his hands and mouth to good use.
“One thing about having a shit ton of money is being able to take vacations whenever we please. Dad’s memorial is more important than golf. Your sister is certainly more important.”
He kissed her again, and his balls tightened when he heard her moan. “I think we have time to—”
“No, you fucking don’t,” Ulf announced, cutting off Bran. “Jesus, no wonder Daniel turned out to be a walking hard-on.”
Raven choked on a laugh, but Bran wanted nothing more than to strangle his older brother. “Tell me why you like staying with Pat or me over Dagr. I’m sure your son misses your insightful quips.”
He ignored Bran. “I’m going to Rowan’s.”
That got Bran’s attention. “Why?” He glanced at Raven, who looked surprised.
“She mended one of my goddamn shirts, Mr. Nosy. I’m meeting the PI before heading back to Wales.”
“I thought Daniel settled things with Blair. He wouldn’t have left her in the States if he hadn’t,” Bran added.
“Daniel might be a little too enamored with his penis to see things clearly, but Blair flinches every time that teacher’s name is mentioned.”
“Thank you, Ulf. I worry for Blair, and I’ve decided that I need to tell Catriona about our concerns. I would be hurt if she knew of a potential threat to our son and didn’t tell me,” Raven said, leaning against Bran’s side for comfort.
“I’ll let you know what I find out, though I imagine Dan will be speaking to Barr sooner than later. Coll called me when I was in Oklahoma.”
“Shit,” Bran uttered. “He’ll be pissed at me as well then.”
“Yes, and Raven, you don’t have to worry about letting them know about the teacher. I told Barr about my concerns. I’m meeting with the PI and having him give Barr everything he has so far.
“Initially, I just thought I might find some dirt on Samson that might encourage Blair to change her mind about working for me, but after seeing her in person, something more might be going on, and Coll is definitely the one to look into that.”
Before Bran could say anything else to Ulf, Patrick and River walked in. “We ready to go?” Patrick asked.
“I have things to do before I go home,” Ulf said in his world-class asshole tone as he walked to the door to leave.
“Wait. What? Why aren’t you going?” Patrick gave his oldest brother a confused look.
Ulf sighed, his hand resting on the door handle. “This is something your family needs to discuss with Rowan and what she has in mind.”
“You’re our fucking family,” Patrick spun around to face the other three people in the kitchen. “Am I wrong?” He raised both arms in question.
“You aren’t wrong,” Bran agreed, giving Ulf a stern look. “But he’s handling something for Daniel. And Blair.”
“That Samson prick?” Patrick asked.
Ulf nodded. “I’m off. I’ll give Rowan my opinion on the memorial if that makes you two whiners feel better.”
“When will you see her? We’re leaving for the site now.”
As Ulf opened the door, Bran explained. “Apparently, Row’s doing big brother’s laundry.” He smirked when he heard Ulf cuss him as the door clicked shut.

ULF GRIFFITHS
Ulf was cursing his fair skin as he pounded on Rowan’s fourth-floor flat. Dealing with his brothers was trying on a good day.
Rowan opened the door, and it was all Ulf could do to ignore how lovely the youngest Byrne sister looked.
