“You sound disappointed.”

“I am. The scent is strong, but hunger isn’t getting this.”

“Good.”

He kissed the place his fangs had touched and opened the borrowed shirt. The fabric slipped from my shoulders. Cool air reached my breasts before his palms covered them.

I arched into his hands.

He watched my face while his thumbs circled my nipples. I didn’t look away.

The Crown sat heavy in my hair.

It stayed quiet.

Stellan bent and drew one nipple into his mouth. His other hand moved between my thighs over the loose black trousers. I was already wet enough for the fabric to drag against me.

He felt it.

His eyes lifted to mine.

I pushed into his palm.

He released my nipple and kissed me as he opened the trousers. His fingers slid under the waistband, then under my underwear.

The first stroke over my clit pulled a rough sound from me.

Stellan swallowed it with his mouth.

I rolled my hips towards his hand. He gave me firmer pressure, then eased off before I found a rhythm.

“Cruel,” I whispered.

His mouth curved against mine.

He did it again.

I caught his lower lip between my teeth. His fingers slipped lower and pushed inside me. My body opened around two of them.

He curled them and stroked the place that made my legs tighten around his thigh.

“Stellan.”

He watched me instead of answering.

His thumb returned to my clit. Pleasure built fast under his control. I held his gaze and let him lead. The Crown gained nothing.

His thumb pressed harder.

I came around his fingers with my mouth open against his. He kissed me through it, his hand slowing as the last pulse eased.

I reached for his trousers.

Stellan caught my hand, brought it to his mouth and kissed the middle of my palm. The cut from the spring had closed, leaving a tender red line.

“Don’t slow down for this,” I said.

“I’m not slowing down.” His lips moved over the mark. “I’m remembering what you gave up at the spring.”
