I rolled my eyes, continuing to shake my leg so I didn’t unbuckle myself and pace the cabin while we descended.
“Oh, leave him alone,” Candy purred, leaning closer to Claudia. “He’s anxious to see his girl.”
O huffed. “He’s not the only one.”
“You’re cute now that you’ve fallen in love,” Claudia said, kissing Candy’s forehead.
“You mean they are insufferable,” Saint murmured. “I wasn’t this disgusting—”
Saint stopped speaking when his wife and girlfriend glared at him.
“You think loving us is disgusting?” Claudia raised her brow.
Saint pursed his lip. “Of course not, I just don’t remember being so…so distracted.”
O laughed, “You don’t remember shooting the wrong man as we interrogated someone or how you were supposed to be keeping a look out, but you were texting and giggling at your phone like a lovesick fool.”
“At least it was only me you had to deal with.” Saint rolled his eyes. “I have to deal with both of you.”
Claudia and Candy were laughing as I told them another story and another fiasco Saint had gotten us into as we landed. I unbuckled my seatbelt as we pulled into a hanger, ready to finish this last job for Saint so I could steal Xiomara, take her to Europe while she joined the mile high club and we made up for lost time.
The door opened as I got up, walking to the back of the plane so I could let Saint and his girls get off first. I was an anxious mess, itching to see my little moon before I went crazy. O and I grabbed our overnight bag since we wouldn’t be here for too long.
I walked down the stairs and took a deep breath when I noticed her. Nothing else mattered in that moment as I rushed to her. She ran towards me and I caught her with ease. She wrapped her legs around me, hugging me tightly. Her jacket was puffy and no doubt warm, but I just wanted to feel her.
Xiomara leaned back.
I’ve missed you. She signed. I love you to the moon and back.
I grinned. Her sign language was getting a lot better, and I loved her for it.
“I love you,” I whispered, my voice hoarse and raw.
The speech therapist said I might never have full functionality of my voice, but all I wanted was to say were the most important things. Like, I love you and fuck, you feel good on my cock.
Xiomara’s eyes widened at my voice, and it was worth all the frustration I had had with my therapist.
“Ezra,” she cried, pulling me in for another kiss. “You sound wonderful. I hope you know I don’t need you to speak to me. I love you just the way you are.”
“I know,” I whispered, feeling an insurmountable love for her.
“Hey, little witch,” O growled, yanking her away from me to kiss her.
“Goddamn, let the woman breathe, Oliver!” Candy yelled.
“Respectfully, fuck off!” he yelled, kissing Xiomara just as she took a deep breath.
“Let’s go!” Saint yelled.
O growled against Xiomara’s lips. “We have to go to Christmas Town and do a pick-up, Chridhe, but as soon as we are done, we are going to get back on this plane and I will fuck you all the way back to France. I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too,” Xiomara said, as we led her to the car that was waiting for us.
How did you know we would be here? I signed.
“Claudia had a car pick me up,” she grinned, as O scowled.
“I have a feeling having you three together is going to be a headache,” O said, but I saw the way he looked at her, and he loved that she fit into our world so well.
