“Go get’em, tiger,” she said walking away.

“I’m just a banana away,” Judd said, opening the door. “I got the perfect song.”

I attempted to chuckle. It fell short the moment I realized what was about to happen. The mystery man sat on the booth in front of the platform and I instantly knew who he was. His hood was pushed back slightly. I could barely see the lower half of his face. All he needed was to push his cap back and I could get a glimpse of him. My gut said he was hot as hell and as I walked into the room, ‘Mustang Sally’ started playing.

I looked over my shoulder at Judd who smirked as he closed the door. This asshole thought he was being cheeky. This was not my Miss Congeniality moment, but I couldn’t turn around and demand another song. My mystery guest leaned forward on his thighs watching me walk to him as seductively as I could.

Heel to toe, heel to toe. I recited internally, swaying my hips, when I kicked out my heel to hard launching me forward.

“Mierda!” I yelled, as pain radiated through my hip.

The mystery man got up, holding his hand out, staring down at me. His light eyes captured my attention immediately, and I wished I could see their real color. We stared at each other for a minute before I snapped out of it.

My cheeks grew red as I bounced up quickly, making sure the girls were still in this skimpy outfit. “I’m good,” I said, while I made sure everything was thankfully still covered.

He nodded, sitting back on the bench. The song felt louder as it played, and I just stared at the man who had hidden in the shadows again. His eyes were barely visible as he transfixed me, this man who probably could have any woman he wanted chose me, a waitress.

I better make it worth his while, my hips swayed as the song ended and a new one started. My hand trailed up my body, through my hair letting them linger above me, bringing them back down my body like a caress. I got brave, stepping onto the platform, grabbing the pole as I circled around. His gaze felt all consuming, heating my body in a way I had never felt before. It was a pull I had never experienced, pushing me to go to him.

Jumping up, I held onto the pole, climbing up, squeezing with my thighs as I leaned back, allowing myself to fall slowly, watching him. He leaned forward again like he couldn’t get close enough. I wanted to see him again since I hadn’t looked properly, twirling around the pole one more time, praying I didn’t fall again. Stepping off the platform, walking slowly towards him, exaggerating my walk. He leaned back, spreading his legs in invitation. I didn’t know if it was the right thing to do or why suddenly all common sense had gone out the window.

I stood before him as the song changed to ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ and I couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped. Fucking Judd. My mystery man tilted his head, reaching out for me, lingering close, but not close enough.

“Hi,” I said dumbly, watching his mouth twitch like he wanted to smile.

His fingers touched the underside of my breast as I took one more step closer to him, tempted to crawl into his lap, his hand grabbed my waist, guiding me closer to him.

“Time!” Judd yelled, pounding on the door.

He let go of me instantly, leaning away from me and our bubble of tension popped. It felt like rejection, which was absurd because this had to end.

“T-Thanks,” I said softly.

He nodded, crossing his arms against his chest. The dismissal stung, but I left knowing he was a means to an end. I walked out with more sway in my hips, fifteen thousand dollars richer.

STALKING IS COMPLETELY NORMAL.

Xiomara Mora was a twenty-eight-year-old orphan who worked as a waitress in Valentine Town’s front end and owned a witchy business called Whimsical Witchery on the side. She was Hispanic, five-five, voluptuous, had violet eyes and long hair that was purple and red at the ends. When she first came to our table, the expression ‘cat got your tongue’—if I could speak—would have been true because I could not form a functional thought.

The fifteen minutes I paid for her were more than worth it. She was quirky with a little bit of chaos, but this pull I had toward her was inexplicable. After I left the room, I went back to the booth to wait for O for further instructions. I pulled out my foldable phone trying to find more information about her. Hacking into her social media was easy and then her business website had abysmal security. I pulled out a notebook writing down everything I could find out about her.

“Another one?”

Looking up quickly there she stood in front of me, unsure, almost as if she were afraid of me. Sadly, she changed back into her previous outfit, which was a fucking tragedy. The skimpy number she had on before was so sexy and I now knew why man would start a war for a woman. I nodded, remembering that she had asked me about another drink.

“Same thing?” she asked, biting her lip.

I nodded again, wondering why she was speaking to me when O had clearly stated to keep my drink full.

“O-Okay, I’ll be back,” she stammered, holding her tray in front of her like it was a shield.

She hesitated, walking away slowly. If I had a voice, I would have called her back just to have her linger. I watched her go to her other tables while I continued my research. I found out she had grandparents she was trying to take care of because her grandfather had Alzheimer’s and was declining rapidly. Most of her money went towards them.

“Let’s go.”
