"Seth," I murmured.

"Yes, Menhit?" Desire clouded his voice, and I could see how much he wanted me in his eyes.

"Please. Touch me."

He held my gaze as his thumb slowly brushed against my most sensitive spot, and I let out a cry of pleasure, my eyes fluttering closed as he repeated the movement.

I wasn't going to last long, and I didn't even care.

The moment he pushed his fingers inside me, I knew I was lost, and the pleasure building inside me exploded. I cried out as my entire body began to shake, and I let myself go over the edge, all the while unable to ignore the person who had brought me to this point.

There was no way I was letting Seth go now. I was his. Now I just had to make him mine.

Chapter 13

Seth

My house felt surprisingly empty despite the fact Tut and I were usually the only ones who lived here. Perhaps it was because I'd been spending a lot of time with Menhit that I'd gotten used to having company.

Thoughts of her recalled the memory of her falling apart under my touch. She'd been even more beautiful than normal, and even recalling the way she'd said my name was enough to send a wave of desire through me.

I needed to see her again, and this time, I was going to be better prepared.

I picked up my phone to send her a message, a warm wave of affection travelling through me as I pulled up our chat. It had been a long time since someone had made me feel this way. The attraction was one thing, but it was also more than that. I liked her company. Conversation had been easy when she was Merry, but it was something else now I knew she was Menhit. And there was no doubt that I found her attractive. She was beautiful, ethereal, and hot all at the same time.

I hit send without thinking twice about it. I wanted her to know that I was thinking about her.

That I wanted her.

There was no more pretending that this wasn't what I wanted, or that I was still angry that she'd kept her identity as a goddess secret from me. I'd done the same to her, and I believed everything she'd told me since.

My phone pinged, causing my heart to skip a beat.

I knew where this was leading, and I could be a gentleman and ignore it, or I could give in to my desires.

Even through my phone, I could hear the flirty note in her voice.

A photo popped up in the chat of two admittedly good-looking steaks, along with a couple of onions and a handful of potatoes.

I let out a loud laugh, drawing Tut's attention from where he was lying on the sofa. He cocked his head to the side as he tried to work out whether the sound was something he needed to do anything about, before putting his head back on his paws and going back to sleep.

But I loved it.

A low groan escaped me as the memories came crashing back in.
