Oxi kissed her shoulder. “Never with us.”
I held her tighter. I wanted to say something clever or reassuring. Something that made sense of Keith and us and the fact that tomorrow we would wake up in a dead firehouse and keep moving toward a home that might reunite her with the man she still loved.
But I didn’t have clean words for any of that. So, I pressed my mouth to her hair and let myself hold on to the one thing I knew. Whatever happened next, I wasn’t letting her carry it alone.

Iwoke up naked and sweating despite the cold of the firehouse.
All because I was between my three…men.
The firehouse loft was dim, washed in cold gray light from the narrow windows, but under the blankets, between their bodies, I was warm. Warm enough that my skin felt damp everywhere their arms and legs tangled with mine.
I sucked in a breath at the shock of everything.
Last night came back all at once. Mad’s mouth on mine, his hands on my body in a way that had been nothing like our careful checks. Oxi’s careful, deep thrusts inside of me. Luck looking at me like he couldn’t believe I wanted him, and the ache of his hard strokes between my legs.
The single bed absolutely did not have enough room for four people, but somehow we’d made it work.
My face burned. I had feelings for all of them. I had known it before last night. But knowing it and acting on it were not the same thing.
Acting on it made my heart flutter and my body ache in places I didn’t want to think too loudly about with all three of them still wrapped around me.
“Good morning, flare,” Mad’s gruff voice rumbled against my ear.
The feel of his breath sent a shiver down my spine. He was behind me, his chest warm against my back, one arm draped low around my waist. His hand rested against my stomach, heavy and possessive.
Oxi was in front of me, his arm still wrapped loosely around me, too, his black hair messy over his forehead. Luck was already half-turned toward us from the other side of Oxi, one of his legs thrown over Oxi’s so his foot pressed against my lower leg.
“Morning,” I murmured. My voice came out softer than I expected. “I know it’s probably too soon to ask, but…”
“What are we?” Luck blurted. His blue and green mismatched eyes locked onto mine from the other side of Oxi, wide and painfully awake for someone who had clearly been pretending to sleep until I said something.
Oxi shifted just enough to look at me properly, his green eyes softer but just as intense. “Yeah, I was wondering that, too.”
Mad didn’t say anything, but his arm didn’t loosen from around me.
My heart thudded harder in my chest, and a smile tugged at the corners of my lips before I could stop it. “I want to be with the three of you.”
“Thank God,” Luck breathed. The relief in his voice was so immediate that I laughed.
Oxi huffed out a quiet sound and leaned in, pressing a quick kiss to my cheek. “I figured as much after you were vulnerable with us last night, but it’s nice to hear.”
“Vulnerable is one way to put it,” I said softly. Heat crawled up my throat again, but I forced myself to look at them. All three of them. “I’d only ever been with Keith before you three.”
Luck blinked. “Wait. Seriously?”
Oxi’s brows shot up.
Mad went still behind me. Then, a second later, he was sitting up, and the blankets shifted around us as his hand drifted to my face. His warm, rough thumb brushed lightly over my cheek, and the concern in his golden eyes made my chest ache. “I’m sorry,” he said. “We should’ve gone slower.”
The sincerity in his voice nearly broke me.
Oxi and Luck sat up, too, making the blankets slip down, and cold air rushed in to replace all that body heat. Goosebumps rose across my arms and chest immediately, but none of them looked anywhere except my face.
“Are you okay?” Oxi asked, more serious now. “Do you regret it?”
