“Let me be the judge of that.” I continued to watch her as she fiddled with the straw in her glass. “I have to take care of something right quick. Don't jet and leave your glass slipper behind,” I jested, stealing the line from Love & Basketball.

What was crazy was that it fit her vibe. She looked like the beautiful black version of the Disney princess.

She giggled. “I only have about another hour to spare. Don't let the clock strike midnight.” She winked, and if she were a genie, my face would have been between her legs.

Fine ass.

“Don't hesitate to order anything you want. It's on me. I’ll be right back.”

“Okay.”

I walked off and headed to the back. Drew fell in step with me as I code switched. I needed to get this out of the way so I could get back to the interesting beauty whose eyes held a storm of emotions that I wanted to remedy.

I hurriedly moved through the club on a mission to wreck me some niggas. Once we made it back to the VIP, Cornell nodded to me as I wasted no time walking inside to see these niggas good and relaxed.

One of the goofy-ass niggas stood on the lounge chair doing some stupid ass dance while the others laughed at him. All their voices lowered once they saw me, Drew, and Cornell enter the room.

“Gentlemen. I see you all are enjoying the festivities,” I said as the door closed behind me. I could hear the click of the lock while I moved closer to them.

“Yeah. Aye, this club is fire as fuck, big homie.” It was then I realized I was talking to a bunch of fucking YNs.

“Who’s the boss around here?”

“Ain’t no one boss. We all bosses,” the one standing closest to me said.

I smirked at him. “Oh yeah?”

“That’s right. Good looks on the complimentary bottles. Me and my gang appreciate that shit, for real,” he said.

“Yesssir!” one of them yelled, and they all laughed. I chuckled with them before I chopped him in the neck, then Drew and Cornell instantly pulled their weapons.

“Whoa! Whoa! What you on, big homie?” the nigga who said something when I walked in asked, putting his hands up in surrender.

“Put yo’ motherfuckin’ hands down, lil nigga.” He quickly put his hands down with a terrified look on his face. “Who the fuck y’all think y’all playing with? Coming in my shit with fake-ass bills like this ain’t a top-of-the-line establishment. Fuck is your name, lil nigga?”

“B-Mo—Brandon. W-we ain’t know, man! I swear!”

“How old are you, Brandon?”

“T-twenty-three.”

I shook my head.

It was always the young, dumb ones. “Well, B-Mo. You should have been mo’ careful. You too old to not be able to tell real money from fake money.”

“Don’t kill us, bro. I swear we didn’t know!”

I looked around the room at the seven of them. All of them looked like they were about to piss on themselves. “Give me y’all’s ID. I just know you lil fuckers ain’t got no L’s. Probably ain’t even graduate high school.” Cornell took their IDs, took photos of them, then put them back on the table.

“Everybody, put ya hands on the table. Do it quickly,” I told them. They scurried to the table, putting their hands on the top, one by one. “Drew.”

Drew pulled the Russian knife from its holder on his hip and, one by one, jammed it into their hands. Some of them resisted, making him stab them in both of their hands. When he was done, I looked them all in the eyes.

“Take this as a warning. Don’t ever step a foot back in my shit, or next time, you pussy-ass niggas won’t make it out alive. Get the fuck out of here.” They got up and hurried toward the door. Cornell unlocked it, and we escorted them out of the back door. They all went running as soon as their feet touched the pavement.

I turned to Cornell. “Go tell Dime to get somebody to clean the room. I’ll see y’all niggas later.” I dapped them up, and we went our separate ways.

I walked to the front of the building and leaned against it after telling valet to grab my whip. I was tired as shit and mad as hell because I just knew the beautiful princess had left already, and them little bum-ass niggas may have fucked up my opportunity with her.
