“Then let’s hope that’s enough.” Dario’s face darkened. “Now… let’s move on to what to do about Naples.”

“I already have a plan in mind,” Niccolo said.

“Which is?”

“Fausto planted a mole in the Camorra seven years ago – I was there the day he sent him off to Naples. I’m almost positive the mole is in Cesare’s crew, because someone texted us to ‘Get out’ shortly before the Russians attacked the house. We’re already tracking the mole’s phone. I suggest we ambush him in Naples and get him to help us kill Cesare.”

“I thought Fausto had countermeasures in place to keep his people from being tracked by the authorities.”

“He did, but we were able to find a workaround.”

Dario raised one eyebrow. “Our contacts in the police are helping us on this, despite everything that happened?”

“No,” Roberto interjected. “I had to pay them off just to buy us a little more time, but that was all they’d give us.”

Niccolo smiled. “Roberto’s being tactful. They basically told us to go fuck ourselves with a razor blade.”

“So how are you tracking the mole, then?”

Lars spoke up. “I called in a favor from Gunnar – my buddy from Special Forces.”

Dario looked at him in surprise. “The one who helped us when Wagner attacked Massimo and the Widow in Venice?”

Lars nodded. “Gunnar’s got connections in all the intelligence agencies, not to mention he’s a brilliant hacker. He set us up with a tracking program.”

Roberto opened up the laptop he was carrying. “In fact, we know exactly where the mole is right now.”

Onscreen, a tiny blue dot was moving across a map of Naples.

Dario looked at Lars. “What did that cost?”

“Nothing. He did it because I asked him.”

“Tell him thank you for me,” Dario said gratefully, “and that I am in his debt.”

Lars nodded.

“Alright, so what do we know about this mole?” Dario asked Niccolo.

“He’s been to the Amatos’ house in the last hour, which leads me to believe that’s where Cesare and Lucrezia have set up shop.”

Dario frowned and pointed at the laptop. “But he’s moving around Naples.”

“Yes.”

“They haven’t gone to the mattresses?” Dario asked in surprise.

‘Gone to the mattresses’ was slang for hunkering down in times of war.

“Not yet. My assumption is he’s picking up supplies – ammunition, maybe. They expended quite a bit earlier today,” Niccolo said darkly.

“So we grab the mole and convince him to help us.”

“Yes. We follow him with the tracker, and when we’re close enough, I call him on this,” Niccolo said as he held up an old, silver flip phone. “That should distract him long enough for us to grab him.”

Adriano snorted.

Niccolo looked over at Adriano. “You have something to say?”
