“Want a taste?”

Warmth spread through me at the look on his face. Pure devotion. He nodded.

I caressed his cheek, running my hand lightly over his skin, down to his strong jawline, across to his chin, pausing when my thumb sat perfectly on his soft lips. Slowly, I pushed my thumb into his mouth. His lips parted willingly. Heat coursed through my veins. Wetness slicked down my thighs. Fuck me sideways.

Calmly, casually, I put my free hand down the front of my jeans. Lukyan stayed utterly still as he watched, a small moan bubbling up at the back of his throat. I brushed two fingers over my pussy, my head tilting back in pleasure at the sensation taking over me. I was so pent-up I feared I would come from that one act alone.

Lukyan emitted another sound—one that sent my whole body tingling. It was a cross between a growl and a pain-filled groan.

You and me both, baby.

I hooked my fingers, trying to gather as much of my wetness as I could before pulling my hand out, my fingers glistening wet. Lukyan breathed hard, his chest rising and falling rapidly. I looked down the length of his long, hard body. His cock bulged in his pants. His hands remained clenched into tight fists at his sides. It was killing him, not being able to move. I didn’t need to be a mind reader to see that. And yet, he stayed still, waiting for permission.

“You’ve been such a good boy. Don’t worry. I won’t make you wait, baby.”

Relief seemed to wash over him.

I used the thumb already in his mouth to open his mouth wider, and then placed my wet fingers on his tongue. “Suck, baby.”

His lips closed instantly, and he sucked. Hard. His warm tongue swirled over my fingers as if trying to lick up every ounce of me. My pussy fucking throbbed at not only the feel of it all, but the sight of having him completely at my mercy.

Desperate for me.

Just as I was for him.

When I went to pull my fingers from his mouth, he latched onto me, snapping his hand around my wrist to keep it there. Desperation shone in his eyes. He wanted more. Fuck, so did I. But despite the hunger and desire roaring in my blood, reality was seeping back in.

We couldn’t stay there much longer. Heidi and Suzanne, the cafe chef, wouldn't stay in the back office forever. Not to mention the fact that it was only a matter of time before someone tried to come in. Cedric stood in front of the café door, blocking it, but I’d been going to that town for months, and I knew some of the locals got a bit nutso if they didn’t get their caffeine hit.

We had to go.

“That’s enough, baby,” I whispered, attempting to pull my fingers out of his mouth again. He fought me, refusing to let go, as if completely overcome with desire.

I won’t lie, I lowkey loved that he was already so hungry for me, but I had to be strong. He wasn’t in charge. I was.

I gripped him roughly by the hair and snatched his head back at the same time I yanked my fingers away. He snarled, trying to follow them like a man possessed, but I held on tight, making him wince.

“While I love the enthusiasm, my love, you’re going to have to learn to follow orders if you want more.” I leaned forward, running the flat of my tongue up the side of his face from his strong jawline up to his temple. He shuddered, his whole body quaking. I placed my lips at his ear and whispered, “While I’m dying to punish you, I don’t think you’re quite ready for that.” I gripped his earlobe between my teeth, giving it a little bite before releasing him completely.

Forcing myself to take a step back from him was hard. Probably one of the hardest things I’d ever done in my life, but it had to be done.

Lukyan remained on his knees for a moment, an almost drunk, high-like expression on his face before he shook it off.

“What the fuck?” He breathed out, as if he couldn’t believe what had just happened.

I smirked, putting the same fingers he’d just had in his mouth into mine. His taste exploded across my tongue, and I so desperately wanted more. Like I’d said to Lukyan numerous times before, I knew him. Knew everything about him. I knew his favorite color. His favorite meal. His favorite torture technique. And I knew that, deep down, beneath that golden retriever energy, he was just dying to be dominated.

And I was dying to be the one to do it.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

DIMITRI VOLKOV

“Talk to me, Butcher. What’s going on inside that stubborn head of yours?”

Autumn and I sat on a bench outside my father’s home, the cold, blistering wind making me rethink the idea of not having the conversation inside the house. But I couldn’t take the risk. I knew Sergei had bugged our room. He was paranoid enough to bug the rest of the house as well. A part of me was a little worried he might have placed listening devices out here too. It was definitely in the realm of possibility.

I had no choice, though. I couldn’t leave, or I risked catching a bullet to the heart. The only place to talk semi-freely was outside.
