She glanced at Troy. His gaze was hot and his brow pinched with impatience, his mind likely in the same zone as hers.

She fought a smirk and forced herself to tune in to what Havoc and Atlas were talking about before she embarrassed herself or dragged Troy to the bedroom.

He probably wouldn’t even mind.

“Can’t you narrow down his location?” Atlas asked.

“’Course. We’ve gotta wait for him to make a phone call.”

“Wait, you’re tracing his number?” she asked.

Havoc shrugged. “Sure, that’s the easy part, though. We need him to make a move before we can pin an exact location.”

She slumped forward. “That sounds arduous.”

“Won’t be long,” Atlas said, leaning back and sounding way too sure of himself.

“He’s right,” Troy said. “He’ll make a call or send a text. Hell, all he needs to do is go online and his phone will ping a cell tower. Once that happens, he’ll be easier to trace.”

“Wouldn’t his phone already be online?” she asked.

“Looks like this phone is a burner. A little harder to trace. He probably grabbed it from a convenience store.”

“Meaning?”

“No ID or credit required. Just prepaid and disposable.”

She looked at each of the guys. “How do we know he didn’t get a different burner after last night?”

Havoc’s jaw rocked as he looked at Atlas. “Well, that’s fucking possible, ain’t it?”

“Trace William’s phone,” Troy said, jamming his index finger toward the laptop. “Let’s see if he got any more calls.”

Havoc went to work. A few minutes later he firmed his mouth. “Nothing.”

Paige blew out a long, slow breath. “Like I said, arduous,” she mumbled.

Wraith entered the room then and made his way to the table. He sat next to Havoc, crossing his ankle over his knee. “You can harass Havoc about a lot of things. He’s not the sharpest crayon in the box—”

Havoc jerked his head toward his friend. “This from an asshat who can’t decide to keep his accent or not?”

Atlas’s laughed boomed out.

Paige grinned. “You two are entertaining.”

“If the arse would let me finish, he’d know I’m tryin’ to give him a compliment.”

Havoc hooked an eyebrow. “Go.”

Wraith gripped Havoc’s shoulder jovially. “Like I said, stupid as shit with most things, smart as hell with surveillance.”

“Not sure that’s a compliment,” Havoc grumbled.

Paige reached across the table and patted his hand. “I think you’re smart.”

“She’s not the best judge of character,” Atlas tossed out, grinning wickedly at Troy.

Havoc and Wraith busted into laughter.
