“That’s a good girl. Now I might even try to make it enjoyable.”

“Jesus fucking Christ,” I groan. “Tues, you are so much better than this. There are other labels, other bands. You don’t fucking need him!”

“You have no idea how much she needs me.” He laughs. “Her mother would’ve destroyed her twice over if it wasn’t for me. This whole fucking label would’ve bulldozed over her had I not put her in the perfect places to rise to the top. Her tight fucking pussy got her here, but only because I wanted it.”

“Don’t listen to him. It doesn’t matter. It’s what you make of it,” I plead with her.

“You should go,” Tuesday says. “He’s right. I can’t leave if I wanted to, but you can.”

“Tues.” I drop to my knees in front of her, gripping her face and forcing her gray eyes to meet mine. “Please.”

“Either fuck me like he wants or leave, Wyatt. Either way, I’m staying here,” she says as more tears spill down her face.

Everything shrinks around me. Looking into her eyes, I see my failures, my mistakes, my ruins.

Maybe if I can’t save her, I should join her in hell instead.

CHAPTER THIRTY

When Wyatt’s lips press against mine, all I think about is how soft they feel. His hand still grips my head, holding me still as he moves his lips against mine.

I follow his movement, chasing each roll of his bottom lip as he angles my head back, deepening the kiss. My body rocks into him, wanting to feel him deeper than a kiss can allow. He pulls my body closer until I’m practically in his lap.

“Now, there we go. Was that so hard?” Hendricks’s voice cuts through the haze.

I almost forgot he was here. His voice cuts into the moment, taunting me. It completely ruins it for me, more than the drugs in my system or the fact Wyatt has some in his.

I’m so stupid to think for one second this could mean anything more than survival.

I’ve succeeded in destroying Wyatt’s life at the exact moment I stopped wanting to.

Life is always like that for me. Bittersweet. Ironic. Tragic.

I try to pull away from him. I don’t want to feel Wyatt’s lips on me for a minute longer. Not with Hendricks watching. While he is here and Wyatt is high, this loses all sentiment.

Wyatt keeps me in place, letting his tongue swipe against my lips until I part them. His tongue slides into my mouth, moving against my own. My arms wrap around his neck, hoping if I can hold on tight enough, it will never end.

“Let’s turn the heat up a little. I want both of you naked.”

Tears prick at my eyes again, as he once again reminds me this means nothing.

Wyatt pulls back, leaving behind a warmth on my lips. I blink out a few tears as he still grips my face.

“Do you want this?” he asks lowly, keeping his eyes on me. I nod. “You want me to fuck you?” I nod again, unable to formulate the words. “Okay.” He sighs. The defeat in his voice would break my heart if it hadn’t shattered years ago.

He drops my face, moving backward. I watch as his hand reaches for the edge of his shirts. He tugs both off at once, tossing them to the floor. I sit back, unbuttoning my jeans and pulling them off my legs.

His fingers move, unbuttoning his pants and tugging down his zippers. His shoes are kicked off as he moves to slip his pants down. When he kneels in front of me again, in just his boxers, I move to tug off my tank top.

“Tuesday, is he everything you wanted? Does his body fulfill the fantasy?”

“Shut the fuck up,” Wyatt snaps. “Your jealousy is fucking pathetic.”

I reach backward, unclasping my bra as he stares at him. This is nothing like how I wanted it to be.

“What’s pathetic is how easily you let this slut get you to bend over.” He laughs.

I tug my thong down my legs, wincing at how sore I am right now. Hendricks has used me well today already, and I know there is more to come.
