“Are you often naughty on purpose?” Beau countered her question with one of his own.
Tessa shrugged. “Not often, but like… sometimes. Sometimes me and my friends just like to do naughty things.”
“Ah, right. Like sneaking into the aquarium at naptime,” Beau recounted their most recent naughty escapade and Tessa squirmed in her seat.
“You know about that?”
“Ooh, or what about the time they snuck out and spent thousands of dollars on Christmas decorations?” Dax added with a smile. “Kind of wish I’d been here for that one. I might have joined in. I love Christmas.”
Tessa gasped. They hadn’t even been around last Christmas.
“Don’t forget about the great tool caper, the Rawhide Ranch food fight, and of course, the great playroom ploy.” Beau ticked off their escapades on his fingers. “Oh yes, little girl, we are well aware of your antics. And I’ll tell you the same thing I tell Dax. You can do the crime if you’re willing to do the time.” He looked at her pointedly. “Did you get in trouble for all of those things?”
Tessa shuddered, thinking back on some of the punishments she’d endured after said antics. “Yes, Sir.”
“Well, if you were our Little girl and you were naughty on purpose, that would certainly be taken into consideration when deciding your punishment.” Beau softened. “But if you’re asking if we are the type of Daddies who get butthurt over a few shenanigans, we aren’t. As long as you are willing to accept the punishment and pay the price and you aren’t doing anything dangerous, I don’t have an issue with the occasional on-purpose naughtiness.”
“Okay, good.” Tessa smiled shyly. “Sometimes it’s just fun to be a little naughty.”
Dax laughed. “I agree.”
“You said you had more questions?” Beau prodded.
“What if I was naughty? Would one of you be in charge of punishing me all the time or…?” She trailed off, not sure how to ask the question.
“It would be either one of us. Maybe even both. Just depends on the situation.”
“When your job here is done, what are you gonna do?” She didn’t know where they were from, and she didn’t want to get attached to someone who might be leaving in a few months.
“We had a job in Vegas before this one, and we’ve got two more Vegas jobs lined up after this one, and meetings for several more. We really like the area and have been seriously considering putting down roots here.”
Tessa nodded, the wall around her heart crumbling just a bit more. “Where are you guys from?”
“I honestly don’t remember anymore.”
Beau answered first and Dax rolled his eyes at his answer. “ We both came here from Atlanta, but originally, he’s from Florida. He just doesn’t like to admit it.”
“Oh.” Tessa wrinkled her brow. She didn’t really understand that. “So you won’t move away after your work here is done?”
“If that was the case, we wouldn’t be seeking out a Little because that wouldn’t be fair. But no, we aren’t going anywhere. With all the hotels around here, we’ll never have a hard time finding work in Vegas.”
“Okay.” Tessa felt a squeeze of anxiety in her chest. They might not be leaving Vegas but they wouldn’t be living at Utopia forever either. If she became their Little girl, she might be the first of her friends to actually move out of Utopia. The thought terrified her, but she knew it wasn’t a good enough reason not to explore a relationship with them. “Where are you from?” she asked Dax. “Florida too?”
“Nah, Oregon. We met in college.”
“Ah. Okay.” Tessa paused and ate a few bites of her sandwich. She didn’t really know what else to ask.
“Have you ever been someone’s Little girl before?” Beau questioned, breaking the silence.
“No. Not really. Just Baze’s. He’s really good to us, but it doesn’t really count. It’s not the same. But you’ve had Little girls before, right?” Tessa held her breath while she waited for the answer. With the exception of Luna and Mariah, most of her friend’s Daddies hadn’t been Daddies before they found one of the Littles at Utopia. Ryan, Sam, and Knox were all excellent Daddies but Tessa wanted a Daddy with experience—or in this case, two Daddies with experience.
“We’ve both had Littles before, and as I mentioned before, we’ve shared Littles. Sometimes it was serious and other times it was fun and platonic.”
“Okay. So… what’s next?” She didn’t want to jump into anything just for the sake of it, but she was also very eager to find out what having Beau and Dax as her Daddies would look like.
“A playdate?” Dax answered before Beau could and she didn’t miss the look that Beau gave him.
“A playdate?” Tessa repeated. She liked the idea of it, but what would a playdate with two Daddies look like?
