“Yes.”
I smiled. “You may even beg. In fact, I’ll expect you to do a lot of that.”
Quinn’s mouth curved. “I kind of assumed that part.”
“And I’ll be actively trying to make you lose composure.”
Quinn swallowed, that smile still in evidence. “That’s what I’m hoping for.”
I folded my arms. “I’ll use verbal pressure.”
He grinned. “Now who’s being coy? You’re going to talk dirty. Bring it on.”
I’d never had a negotiation scene like this, and I had to admit, I liked it.
“I’ll be using a lot of stimulation.”
His eyes sparkled. “You’re going to use toys.”
I cocked my head. “Any toys you want me not to use?”
He laughed. “Nope. I’ll leave the torture—sorry, stimulation—up to you.”
And there he went again, turning every negotiation scene I’d ever conducted on its head.
I don’t know where I am with you, Quinn.
Dangerous ground.
“You won’t touch yourself unless instructed.”
Quinn snorted. “That’s sort of the point.”
“If you disobey an order,” I continued evenly, “the timeline extends.”
His breath shifted. “How long for?”
“That depends on the failure.”
A flicker of excitement ran across Quinn’s face before he could hide it.
I reined in my own anticipation. “Limits. Time cap?”
Quinn bit his lip. “Not longer than two hours total scene time.”
I nodded. “And denial after the scene?”
He hesitated. “That’s the part that scares me.”
“Explain.”
“If you send me home still wired and half-mad, I’ll obsess.”
I studied him once more. “You don’t want lingering denial.”
“I want the experience,” he said quickly. “I don’t want to spiral alone.”
I liked his honesty.
