“Hendry,” she said, her voice breaking on the second syllable. Her eyes shone, her lips were curved into a contented smile.
“But now, this,” he said, gesturing to the little room, “and the castle, will be where I learn to live with ye. The castle, it belongs to the Andersons. To ye and Adair, until he is old enough to lead yer clan.” He looked around the cabin once more, the evidence of the life he had lived here in private. “This structure… It isnae just mine any longer. It is ours. It belongs to us.”

Aurora felt as though she could not breathe, her heart pounding with the proximity between her and Hendry. He had moved in closer, one of his hands resting on her waist, the other resting against the side of her neck. His thumb rubbed against the sensitive expanse of skin, sending sparks of pleasure down her spine and through her limbs.
“The celebration…” she protested, the words weak as they slipped from between her lips.
“Aye, it is still ongoin’,” Hendry confirmed, making no move to pull away or go back to the castle. “But I think that I would rather have a private celebration with ye.”
Aurora did not get a chance to respond before Hendry’s mouth was against hers. Her breath caught, her mind going blissfully blank at the feeling of his kiss. After a beat, she responded, kissing him back with everything that she had kept close during the ceremony.
Hendry growled at the contact, both of his hands finding her waist and picking her up. She squeaked, though she never broke the kiss. Her arms snaked around his neck, holding onto him tightly, though she knew that he would not drop her. She trusted him with each part of her, implicitly.
When they reached the edge of the cot, he lowered her onto the surface slowly. It was not until she was seated that he pulled away. His eyes dragged over her body, greedily taking in her appearance. Then, he grabbed onto her wrist, unlatching the bracelet that was fastened to her wrist.
“Ye are wearin’ too much,” he told her as he moved onto the necklace. “I need to see all of ye. I have been dyin’ to see all of ye.”
“Please,” she said, the word coming out thin and needy. If her body did not feel like she was burning from the inside out, she may have had the wherewithal to be embarrassed.
Hendry met her plea with faster movements. He got rid of the necklace, then went onto the buttons up her back. His mouth found hers once more as he freed her from her gown. She stood up only long enough for him to slide it off. Then, he got rid of her underclothes, leaving her standing bare before him.
For a moment, he paused, his eyes lingering on the swell of her breast then the curve of her waist. His hands twitched at her sides where they had come to rest. She was surprised to find that she did not want to hide herself away. She wanted him to see all of her, and in turn, she wanted to see all of him.
“Ye as well,” she whispered, her own clumsy fingers reaching forward.
Hendry allowed her to unfasten his kilt, and when it joined the clothing already on the stone floor, his cock was standing at attention. Before she was able to reach forward and touch, he grabbed onto the hem of his doublet, pulling it over his head and casting it aside.
“Ye…” she began, left speechless by the strong expanse of his chest.
There were scars there from battles that happened before she had known him, and she hoped to learn the story of each. There was still so much of this man’s history that she had yet to learn. Not only that, there was so much ahead of them to make together.
“Ach, ye are so bonnie,” he said, the words coming out low and rough. He reached out to her again, pulling her mouth against his.
This time, the kiss was even messier, more desperate. He was no longer concerned with precision. All of his focus seemed to be on one target, her.
She fell back on the cot, letting out a little giggle between them when Hendry positioned himself between her legs. The weight of him was warm and welcome. Heat pooled in her belly, wetness dripping from her most private places, her body seemingly unable to wait for him any longer.
“Ye are all mine, lass,” he growled against her lips, one hand resting by her head as the other came to grab onto her thigh, spreading her open wider.
“Yers,” she agreed, her hips rising without her permission, asking for something that she did not know how to name. “I am yers, Hendry. Undeniably.”
A broken sound tore from his chest as he pressed the dull head of his length against her folds. It was a stark difference to the feel of his fingers, solid and hot, promising to reach places that she had never dreamed of touching before. There was no hesitation in her, only the sharp feeling of want.
When he shifted forward, he entered her by only a centimeter. It was teasing, enough to drive her absolutely mad. She opened her mouth, on the verge of begging for more, but he answered before she was able to say a single thing.
Inch by inch he claimed her entirely. She could feel the way her walls stretch, and swallowed down a feral cry when the tip hit a bundle of nerves buried deep inside. Her breath came in rough, shaky gasps as he finally bottomed out.
“Hendry,” she whimpered, his name the only thing that she could bring herself to say. “Ye…”
“I got ye, lass,” he said, the safety she had come to expect from him morphing and making the sensations even more intense. “I will take care of ye.”
She did not need to give him a response, it seemed that he understood that she was completely at his mercy. Instead of waiting for her to say anything else, he pulled his hips back, not stopping until he was nearly out of her. Then, he pressed back inside, the feeling unlike anything she had felt before.
He worked himself up to a slow pace, his mouth finding Aurora’s once more. As he thrust into her, it felt as though tiny explosions were happening all over her body. Her toes curled with the intensity of the attention. Her fingers tightened where she was anchoring herself against him.
Nothing had ever felt so right to her before this moment. It was almost divine the way their bodies fit together, like the two had been made for each other and they had only been waiting for their paths to cross. She realized, with startling clarity, that she would have chosen no one but Hendry, even if she had not been desperately searching his gardens.
