“Maybe.”

“The Will I know is very shrewd,” Jocelyn observed. “Too volatile for my tastes, but I bet he knew everything, I’m sure of it. He thought of Reggie as ‘the cure’ for what ailed you then, and he knew you’d be coming home to him.”

“You know, you’re a hopeless romantic,” Alex laughed.

“I am, aren’t I? I don’t think I could be in love with Reggie otherwise. I have to have the enigma, the tease and the seduction. No different from you. And Reggie’s very good at all that.”

“Except that I must like emotional fireworks since I create so many with Will.”

“That’s just because you like your bottom mauled,” Jocelyn snickered.

Alex refused to answer that retort. “So you’re going to refrain from admiring young bottoms?”

“There’s no harm admiring. And there are some very fine ones swimming in the pool right now.”

“Oh, I think I could content myself staring at women,” Alex said with a sigh, then she leaned back, closed her eyes, and looked as if she was about to have an excursion into dreamland.

Alex’s last remark startled the redhead. She was sure that the mention of women wasn’t intended to provoke a response. Regardless, it was having a considerable effect on her body. The way Alex’s blonde hair was scattered about the lounge chair, the way her lovely limbs reclined comfortably against the cotton towel, the way her breasts protruded from the swimming suit, the essence of her was producing the oddest effect on Jocelyn, especially after the open-ended comment. Perhaps it was an invitation? She thought of Alex’s bisexuality as a novelty in her past. Perhaps not. In a place outside their normal lives all sorts of possibilities might become available. The idea was intriguing, and Jocelyn found that gazing at her sensuous friend was a surprisingly pleasant diversion.

On the second evening of their stay, the two walked the streets of the charming resort town looking for a small bistro for dinner. They were already more relaxed than they’d been in weeks. Just being transplanted into this easy moving atmosphere seemed to settling.

The small cafe where they stopped for dinner served spicy Mexican fare.

“It’s sexy don’t you think?” Jocelyn said as she gazed around the lovely restaurant and it Spanish style decor. “I’ll bet even the food is erotic around here.”

“It’s not all that different than anywhere else,” Alex replied.

“But the ambiance,” Jocelyn went on.

“I agree with that, except that I think eating rellenos and chili will only make me horny.”

“Then you’ll get out the vibrator,” Jocelyn whispered, as she took Alex’s arm and drew her into the restaurant.

“God, this is good,” Jocelyn declared, about an hour later, as she felt the steamy Mexican spices making her mouth pleasantly burn.

Getting horny?” Alex asked. They were half-way through the meal.

“Yeah, kinda, and you?”

“I’m always horny.”

Jocelyn watched as Alex observed the diners around them, which

was a study in itself. Her wandering eyes focused on bodies, seeming to capture them in her gaze and with imaginary talons draw them to her as if she were inspecting their souls. She was the kind of woman who observed a great deal, though it was difficult to know exactly what she thought about what she saw. Jocelyn suspected her thoughts were mostly erotic. And now, after Alex’s comment by the pool the day before, Jocelyn noted that most of her friend’s studied observations were aimed at women rather than men.

“You ever think about sex with a woman?” she asked the blonde, drawing her back to reality.

Alex looked back, her blue eyes suddenly fixed on Jocelyn’s green ones. “Do you?” she answered with a question, a mystifying smirk on her face.

Jocelyn was startled, not expecting the question to come back to her. “I don’t know. And you?”

Alex nodded. “Yes. I think about women a lot.”

“You’re bisexual?”

“Just sexual really. It doesn’t matter as long as it moves and turns me on.”
