“Jesus,” I managed as I took in the glorious sight, then stood up gingerly and made way toward him, careful to watch my step and not slip on the algae.

A little more comfortable now that I was covered by Cade, and we were mostly blocked by the fall, I was ready to take advantage of our much-needed alone time.
