This girl was fuckin’ crazy. She had all of us dying laughing at her funny ass. Any other time I would have been over there dancing with her but lately I’d been so tired. Like she said, she sat down right after that routine ended. I got up to go check on the food that we were making in the kitchen. Everything was done so I told my girls that they could come now. We cooked shrimp scampi, steamed lobster, vegetables, and garlic bread.
We were sitting at the table eating when I caught a funny feeling in my stomach and I rushed to the bathroom at the end of the hallway to throw up. I hovered over the toilet and let everything just come out. Two minutes later, Lani came in there with me and shut the door behind her.
“Oh my God Tisha, what happened?” Lani asked.
“I don’t know Lani, I think it was the food,” I said, wiping my mouth.
“Bitch no it wasn’t the food. You eat that shit all the time. Tisha your ass is pregnant,” Lani told me, laughing.
I dismissed her with the wave of my hand. Then when I thought about it, I actually could be pregnant. I was two weeks late for my period and lately my breasts had become really sore. My moods were even changing. I could be laughing one minute and mad the next. The littlest things would make me cry. If Otis yelled at me I would cry. If a sad movie or commercial came on I would cry.
“Here, take this test,” Lani said, going into her cabinet to pull out a home pregnancy test. I looked at this bitch like she was crazy. Who the hell keeps this shit in the house for no reason?
“Don’t even look at me like that. I brought this last week because I thought I was pregnant but I wasn’t,” she said, defending herself.
“Okay bitch, get out so I could pee,” I told her.
When she left, I locked the door and took the test out the box. I peed on the stick and waited for the results. After a few moments, I saw the stick and two lines appeared. I was really pregnant! I walked out of the bathroom with the test behind my back. All of my friends were waiting on me to spill the beans.
“I’m going to be a mommy!” I yelled.
All my girls came running over to me telling me congrats and they couldn’t wait to become aunties.
“Hey auntie’s princess, I can’t wait to meet you so we could go shopping and everything,” Lani said, rubbing my stomach.
“Lani how you know it’s going to be a girl?” I asked her.
“I don’t know. I just hope it is,” she said, laughing.
We sat around watching more movies and eventually we
all headed upstairs and to our own guest bedrooms. I couldn’t sleep for shit. I knew I was the only one up too. I wanted to call O but he was at the club and he probably wouldn’t hear his phone ring. I tried my luck anyways.
“Baby,” he answered the phone saying.
“Hey baby, I miss you and I want to see you,” I told him.
“Baby I’m at the club. You over there with Lani them anyways. I know y’all over there turning up,” he told me.
“No baby, they went to sleep and I can’t sleep I miss you so much,” I whined.
“Alright baby, I’ma let Ty know I’m leaving, so I’ll be there in about ten minutes.” Hmm, it worked every time.
“Yay, I love you baby,” I cooed.
“I love you too.
I laid on the bed playing Candy Crush while waiting for O to come over. I was so damn bored! I didn’t want to go wake my girls up because I know I hate it for people to wake me up out of my sleep. Thirty minutes later, I got a call from Otis.
“Baby I’m here. Come open the door,” he told me.
I jumped out of the bed and ran down the stairs. I was so happy to see my man. I punched in the code to the alarm to turn it off then I walked over to the door to open it for my man. He was standing there holding a bag of food from Snappers. He looked so sexy in his True Religion jeans, with an orange Nike shirt and his orange and white Nike Roshe Runs.
“Hey baby,” I cooed, giving him a hug.
“What’s up ma?” he asked, grabbing my ass and lifting me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and started kissing him all over his face.
“Nothing, let’s go upstairs before we wake the girls up,” I said and he carried me up the stairs.
