“This, sugar,” Colt said, his breath fanning my wet tip. “This is special. What we have, fuck, it’s so good.”

“Yes,” I agreed. It was almost too good.

I was going to come again, my clit rubbing against him every time I took him deep.

“You’re ours, Lacey.” Micah’s words came from behind me, but I was too lost in my pleasure to process them.

Colt’s hands finally came to my hips, helped me ride him until we came, our shouts mingled, until I slumped down onto his hard chest, heard the frantic beat of his heart. Knew it matched mine.

This might have been a sex-fest, but Colt was right. This was special. I just didn’t know what to do about it.

CHAPTER TEN

Micah

“This is it then,” Lacey said after I helped her down from her horse. We were in front of her cabin back at Hawk’s Landing and she was fidgeting and looking anywhere but at us. It was almost noon; she’d slept part of the morning away. I was used to getting up early, but I hadn’t minded lying in bed, watching her sleep. It was only when she stirred that we claimed her again. Yes, claimed.

She might not have felt that way about what we did, but there was no question for me. Where we’d been playful and wild the night before, we were gentle with her, slow, coaxing orgasm after orgasm from her before I carried her out to the lake.

Because of this, her words were like a blow. She thought we were through.

“It?” I asked, glancing at Colt. His gaze was in shadow from his hat, but I could see the way his jaw tightened. He wasn’t pleased she could let what we shared go so easily.

Or was it a defense mechanism? Was she saying it was over first, just to keep from having us do it? We had no intention of it, and it was our job to set her straight.

“Our fling.”

“Fling?” Colt asked, stepping up to her, taking her chin and tipping her head up so she had to look at both of us. We stood before her. Close, but not too close. While those in Bridgewater were fine about a threesome, the Hawk’s Landing guests weren’t from the area. Like Lacey, they didn’t know about our ways. While no one was ashamed of their relationships, no one flaunted it either. I wasn’t ashamed of what I felt for Lacey, what I would share with my best friend, but it was obvious Lacey wasn’t there yet.

“This isn’t a fling, sugar. Go get cleaned up and we’ll be back in an hour to take you to lunch. I think there’s a barbecue on the south field.”

“Wait.” She held up her hand. “You’re serious, aren’t you?”

“About barbecue? Hell, yes. The cook’s famous for his brisket.”

She rolled her eyes. “Not barbecue. Us.”

“Have we once said otherwise?” I asked. “We’re serious as two men can be.”

She shook her head. “But…it’s one thing for us to be together in a mountain cabin—”

“And on the porch,” Colt cut in to say.

“And the lake,” I added, my cock getting hard. “I kept you warm as I fucked you in that clear water.”

I grinned at her pretty flush. Yeah, it had been that good. She’d had her legs wrapped around my waist as I filled her. The water had been mountain run-off cold, but I’d kept her warm. I’d seen Colt leaning on the porch railing, watching.

“That’s just it. I can’t…can’t do that with you here. There are people around.” She glanced left and right, but couldn’t see much past us. We were blocking her view of the rest of the ranch, although there wasn’t much to see, her cabin set far away from all the others. It was perfect for a honeymoon, or for two men interested in a certain lady.

“We’re gentlemen,” I reminded her as I placed a hand on her shoulder. She wore the same clothes as the day before, not Colt’s shirt. She was perfect as-is, especially since I knew she was all dirty from Colt and I touching her. “What we do with you is private. Just between us. We’re not going to toss you over the buffet table and have our way with you.”

Colt glanced at me, tipped his hat back on his forehead. “No, we’ll do that later. After the picnic, we’ll take you to my ranch. I want you to see it.”

He’d talked about it on our ride back, sharing his schedule for finishing up the main house, the stable, his plans for training horses—and the idea to move the base of my business there. She’d been interested, clearly seeing this was a passion of his. She was a career woman, had her own dreams and passions and was following through with them. Understood that it was crucial to having a fulfilling life.

She looked between us, debating. Colt wouldn’t let go of her chin until she made a decision. The right decision, which was “Yes.”

“All right.”
